Present at it were Bárbara Fernández, Councilor for Sports of the Las Rozas City Council; José Luis Amoroto, President of the Madrilenian Paddle Federation; Javier Porras, General Director of the World Paddle Tour; as well as the players Matías Díaz and Alejandra Salazar.
In the presence of different media, Javier Porras made reference to the passage of the Circuit for Madrid: "A community that turns with the paddle. We are sure that the fans of Las Rozas will come en masse to enjoy this tournament. The test will take place in a spectacular scenario, in which a Commercial Village has also been set up in which numerous activities will be carried out. "
Very satisfied with the continued growth of the World Paddle Tour Circuit, he said: "We will put all our resources back to ensure that the event is a success. This year, we are having 800.000 average punctures in our Live Streamings and, in this test, we will participate in several live programs on Radio Marca ".
For his part, José Luis Amoroto stated: “I would like to highlight the role that the Territorial Federations play, since we have a lot to say in this show. We work with the Minors, with the amateurs and also with the veterans, whom I want to congratulate… And the fact is that the players of our Autonomous National Team have just been proclaimed Champions of Spain ”.
Bárbara Fernández, Councilor for Sports of the town of Madrid, said: "During this week, in Las Rozas we are paddle. It is not a secret that there is a lot of love for this sport, practiced by players of all ages. In 2016 we are 'European Sports City' because we have a lot of sport and, of course, a lot of paddle. We are very excited and convinced that we will enjoy a lot with this unique opportunity. "
Before the questions of Óscar Solé and Andrea Ballester, Matías Díaz and Alejandra Salazar talked about what they expect from the tournament and how they are seeing the season in general. Matías said: "After our defeat in the eighth in Barcelona, Maxi and I came to this test with great enthusiasm. The Multipurpose is not a completely indoor stage but it is also different from an outdoor club. I was able to try it and I really like the stadium and the track. "
Alejandra Salazar, who will not miss the appointment despite having suffered a recent pneumothorax, confessed: "Madrid is my home and I love playing here. I do not know how far I will go but what I do want is to enjoy. This year, in the two contested races they have won two different pairs and four different couples have reached the finals. That gives a sample of the great equality that exists in the Women's Circuit. We want to continue working, with the objective of reaching the 1 number in the world ".
As a great novelty, Ángel Rodríguez, Communication Director of World Paddle Tour, revealed that they will have a top-of-the-range camera, which will allow fans to offer previously unpublished images in the world of paddle tennis.
