One more tournament, they showed again that they are two of the most regular players in the Women's Circuit. With a firm step, they were planted in the semifinals of the Valladolid Open, where they were overtaken by the future winners of the event: the Mapi Twins and Majo Sánchez Alayeto. Our colleague Daniel Gamarra was able to speak with them right after the meeting.

Padel World Press .- They had their chance in the first set. They fought with all their strength to qualify for what would have been their second final of the season, after the Estrella Damm Barcelona Masters (in which they won), but could not overcome the current 1 number in the world.

Neki Berwig's pupils wanted to share with our readers their feelings after a match in which, at times, they showed their best version ... Don't miss this interview.

Eli, what do you think you lacked to win the game?

We have not gone looking for the match in that 5-2 in the first set. In this type of match you cannot wait, you have to be more daring, not aggressive ... It is not strength, it is daring.

Patty, what do you think has been the key to the game?

They have started better at the beginning. Then we have shaped our scheme to perfection and we have put up the result but, however, we sin of not continue looking. We have not climbed the train and they have raised the level.

Eli, what do you think they've been stronger for today?

Mapi and Majo are a couple with greater physical power, often it shows in the punch. We have to be clear that we have to throw very good balloons because if not, we sell ourselves. Also, I think we are in a process of breaking barriers against this type of couples (couple 1 and 2), so each point against them adds up and makes us trust more in us.

Eli, what do you think of the Valladolid Open?

I find it beautiful, a very beautiful place and it is incredible to play here. I find it admirable that it is full despite the weather conditions that occur; so give it up to the fans. However, looking forward, I would propose to play here on other dates, dates that do not cause players to reach their limit.

Patty, what is your assessment of the Valladolid Open?

We have played 3 games, in which we have gone from less to more. In this last meeting we got our best version in some moments and, as a general rule, we were left with positive things and things to improve. I would also like to emphasize that it has been a very important fight on a physical level due to the climatic circumstances we have experienced but, in general terms, I think that a good reading of the tournament can be done.
