Current number 3 of the classification, in 2017 he conquered 5 titles with Sanyo Gutiérrez, was one step away from unseating the first position to Fernando Belasteguín-Pablo Lima and won the European Championship by National Teams with Spain.

Eager to start his new adventure together Juan Martín Díaz, do not miss this interesting interview conducted by the companions of the FEP the great member of the Bullpadel Team.

Although, as you have expressed in social networks, the 2017 season did not end as you would have liked, we want to congratulate you for your progression throughout it. What personal assessment do you make?

I am happy in general with what has been my best sports season. We have been skimming the 1 number and have won a total of 5 tournaments. The truth is that it is to be happy.

Have you met the proposed objectives for 2017?

Yes. My main goal is always to improve as a player. I believe that this year I have fulfilled it. I feel a more complete player and with more variants than a year ago.

The stands are filled every year more and more. Would you like the paddle to gain so much notoriety and become an Olympic sport?

Hopefully. I hope that before I retire, so be it. I would be very excited to play an Olympic Games with Spain.

A few days ago we talked to Victoria Iglesias and asked her what would stand out from you as a player. He confessed that the claw and the desire to win that you always show Are you in agreement with this statement? How would you describe Victoria?

Well thank you, Victoria. Yes, I quite agree. I think that my main characteristic is always the desire to win and how competitive I am. De Victoria highlighted his great talent for progression. It's amazing how in so little time he has climbed so many places. Admirable. Also, I would change his back for mine with my eyes closed.

Congratulations for your contribution during the European Championship in Estoril, which consecrated us as Champions. Do you have any anecdote that you can tell from that week shared with the teammates in Portugal?

It was a great week, with a fantastic coexistence among classmates. In a selection of different generations, the good atmosphere always prevailed. For me, the most remarkable part of the victory of Spain, was watching the return of Juan Martin to the tracks. A pleasure for everyone.

We want to show you a photo that we have rescued from the trunk of memories. Year 2005. Selection of Minors. At some point did you think that this child was going to reach the top of the world's padel?

Very good!!! The truth is that I dreamed of one day being able to dedicate myself to this sport in a professional way but I could not think of how far I would go.

What does Paquito Navarro expect from next season? What goals do you make?

Continue improving as a player and partner. If I do that, I'm sure I'll be closer to the good results.
