The Padel World Press team had the opportunity to experience very closely everything that happened in a tournament organized to raise funds for the '2016 Refugees Project' of Doctors Without Borders. Our colleague Daniel Gamarra tells us how it was an experience he will never forget.
Padel World Press .- Last Saturday, 16 day in April and in the company of Fernando Blanca, we went to the 12: 30 to the facilities of Sanset Pádel Indoor to participate in something more than a simple tournament. Since we entered through the door, the sponsors (among which were Clínicas J. Cuenca, StarVie, PadelCrem, Alegría del Paladar and many others) received us in a spectacular way.
Within the track, things were not bad for the 'Padel World Press couple'. In Category A, we won a match and forced several tie breaks, so the balance was very positive ... Point out that, between match and match, Guadalupe, a physiotherapist from Clínicas J. Cuenca, treated me in one of those solidarity massages for Médicos sin Borders and I must say that Almudena, in addition to charming, is a great professional ... In just 20 minutes managed to remove the sharp pain in my elbow and knee, thanks to what I could define a point in the following games that we had to play.
But the most important thing was off the track. In an appointment like this, the fundamental thing is the support and solidarity that the different estates that are part of the padel family show and that, once again, were very present.
We take the opportunity to conduct several interviews, which we will be publishing in the coming days, to the sponsors of a spectacular event, in which all the participants contributed their grain of sand.
Once the tournament was over, the prizes were awarded and the gifts were drawn, events that were chaired by Carolina Navarro and Cecilia Reiter. It is incredible to see the ease with which Ceci handles a microphone in her hands.
This was the brilliant point and end to an exciting day, in which an unbeatable atmosphere was experienced, in which all the attendees contributed to generate a great atmosphere and in which the sponsors put everything on their part so that things they left the best possible ... And it is that, without their efforts, none of this would have been possible.
