To tell us all the work they have been doing we talked with José Luis Amoroto, who has 5 years of experience as President of the most representative community padel institution.
Starting from Current status of this discipline in Madrid, revealed that on a personal level he is happy with the advances that have been taking place: "Progressing properly, how they would say at school. In relation to number of federated players, José Luis Amoroto explained that it has grown more than remarkable during this period and that it went from the 5.200 that was in 2012 to the almost 8.000 that are currently counted. However, he assured that there is still much to be done since it is estimated that in Madrid practice paddle over 600.000 people. "So there is a lot of room for improvement."
Anyway, this important growth is something to be proud of because it was achieved with a lot of effort and initiative behind it. When talking about the challenges for this 2018, José Luis Amoroto put on ambitious goals and remarked that the important thing to achieve that organizational level reaches a new level is to seek a consensus among all the pieces that are part of this wonderful sport: "We want to reach more clubs and sites throughout the Community. We want to have more licenses and be 1 number of the country [...] Federations, monitors, players ... All these pieces have to fit to get us to the level of other sports, both nationally and internationally. "
