The Galician player faces a very important season, in which he wants to consolidate himself in the elite of the World Paddle Tour Circuit. Shortly after starting his career with Willy Lahoz, we wanted to know how his feelings are being along with one of the names of the history of the Spanish paddle and what it means for him to have the support of Italian Padel.

Padel World Press .- Talent and potential without limits. Those are two of the qualities that always stands out Adrián Caviglia of his pupilo, a player who arrived at the paddle only a few years ago and that has not been slow to attract the attention of the fans for its quality and for its great delivery on the track. .

Current number 24 of the WPT Ranking, the Santa Uxía de Ribeira wants to keep his progression next to Willy Lahoz, one of his idols and who he believes has much to learn.

How were your first tournaments, your first sensations with Willy Lahoz?

Good sensations. Everyone already knows Willy's quality. We are coupling well and I think we can make a good pair to give war to the pairs above.

What does it mean for you to have the opportunity to share the track with one of the best players in the history of Spanish paddle?

Of course it's an honor to share a track with him. It is an opportunity to learn alongside one of the greatest in this sport.

In what notes the veteranía of Willy in the field?

Especially when it comes to competing. He is used to winning big games and it shows in knowing how to be on the track at important moments. In addition, it is usually the one that leads the baton in the way of playing.

What is Willy contributing to your game?

Above all of the previous point but, in turn, Willy has some impressive shots. He is able to throw 5 shots to the wire in a row or to block a shot with enough quality to counterattack. It's a pleasure that.

What are the main differences you feel about the game you played with Jordi Muñoz?

Jordi is also one of the greats of this sport and I also consider them quite similar. Very good shots, a lot of quality, a lot of experience. Something that I think we improve as a couple is in the auction.

In recent dates you have signed a sponsorship with the Italian Padel company. How did that possibility arise? What could you tell us about that company?

The opportunity comes from my coach, Adrián Caviglia, who met Claudio at a training stage in Italy. At that time, Claudio was thinking about getting involved with his company, Forgiafer, to build padel courts and as soon as he created Italian Padel he wanted to count on me to be his image. I can not be more proud to have a company like that on my shirt, as it is a very large metallurgist who wants to bet on the paddle. Regardless of the benefit itself, I think that the fact that a company the size of Forgiafer want to bet on the paddle is great for the sport.

How do you see the evolution of paddle tennis in Italy?

Very good. I have been traveling to Rome several times a year for two years. The first time I went, most of the people playing were tennis players who were blown away by a totally new sport. Today those tennis players continue to play and compete on a good Italian Circuit and there are a lot of new people.

Do you think we will see in the not too distant future an Italian player in the Top 100?

It is very possible. There are several couples that are taking very good level and I am sure that in a few we will see them competing in the Professional Circuit.

What challenges, what expectations have you set for the rest of the season?

The usual when you change partners. Make a good pair to defend the position of the Ranking that we have and to be able to attack those that we have over.
