«Well, to begin this analysis, the first thing I have to say is that I think the campaign was good. At the level of numbers, I finish the year in a Ranking similar to that achieved in 2016 (#25) but, during the year (I do not know exactly on what date), I did get what was my best position in the classification (#22).
Despite this, where I think I've taken advantage of the season is not in that, but in the game. I think I've matured a lot as a player and that's because I've had two great teammates: Jordi Muñoz y Willy Lahoz. Together with them I have learned a lot, I have played in two different ways ... I have learned to adapt quickly (sometimes not as fast as I would like) and I have come to play at a great level with both.
During the year I experienced very good times as, for example, to have won a Challenger (with Willy) and having reached the final of another (with Jordi). I was also present in the quarterfinals of two Masters (Miami and Buenos Aires) and I played very well in certain important matches that, in the end, escaped us a little bit.
The worst moment I think I lived in the WPT of A Coruña, the one that was my last tournament with Jordi. The truth is that there was a lot of tension and it was not pleasant. We both have a strong character and we hit a lot to the point that, at the end of the test, we decided to take separate paths. Everything remains in anecdotes and everything is fine with him from that moment.
And well, that one more campaign I can say that I am a professional padel player, that I make a living this way and there are very few of us who can say it ... So it is at this time when you stop to think about how lucky we are. and when you most appreciate everything you have and what you have achieved.
