From the Spanish Federation we continue to present to the young values that will defend the national team in the Xth World Juniors ... And it is the turn of one of the 'elders' of the team, a great player who faces his second year in Junior Category and that, therefore, is prepared to make the jump to the Absolute Categories.

Padel World Press .- He is one of the great talents of the Spanish paddle. We have already seen it is some Pre-Previews of the World Paddle Tour Circuit and this campaign, along with the Malaga native José Carlos Gaspar, was able to win the second TyC Premium.

Momo knows that he will face his last championship at the Junior Circuit, so he wants to close the cycle in the best possible way: “I'm really happy. I've been fighting to be there since I've had the opportunity to go with the national team, and closing the Junior Circuit having achieved it is like saying ... Buff !! I dont know; I think that's the best way to describe it. "

The recent concentration made by the members of the Spanish team in the City of the Racket helped Momo to get to know his teammates better, especially those with whom he did not have an excessive relationship. "The truth is that at the beginning we were a little nervous and embarrassed but, as the day progressed, things changed and helped us to make more equipment. It has been a great success. In Mexico, the good number of Andalusians that integrate the team will pull the rest of the selection at the time of cheering ... We will try to infect the rest of that elf. Also, you have to compete against very hot people, like Mexicans or Argentines. "

Throughout 2015, the one from Antequera completed very good performances: “It has been a good year even though we fell early in a tournament. We must bear in mind that we have lost qualifying rounds mainly against Coki Nieto and Javier González by 7-6 in the last set ... I still remember what we experienced in the Spanish Championship, where we played an epic match. Coki with affection will receive a slap when we are in Mexico (laughs) ”.

Momo shared track with José Carlos Gaspar, with whom he already played the final stretch of an 2014 where he started with Miguel González. "The truth is that with José Carlos I have always understood myself very well. We played together already when I was a freshman cadet. Being the two of Málaga, we have continued playing some tournaments that were not of the Circuit. With Miguel it cost me something more since I like to play on the reverse, something that with José Carlos I can do. "

After competing throughout his career in the Circuit of Minors with several colleagues, he stressed that the most important thing in a pair is trust. "For a couple in this sport to work, you need confidence, to be able to say things without problems. Then, it is also important that there is good vibes so that you can have fun on the track¨.

In turn, he wanted to thank the support received by Babolat throughout his career in the Circuit of Minors. ¨The figure of a sponsor is very important, and even more so in Junior or Cadet Categories, where you already give the ball very hard and break shovels more easily. Having that financial support gives you a lot of room for maneuver and avoids many worries. "

Having just started his university career, Momo has less free time but, despite this, he tries to combine his studies in Marketing and Market Research with the practice of other sports such as tennis or going out with friends. "When I'm not giving the shovel or studying in college, I try to play tennis with my roommate. I also like to take a walk to have a drink with my friends. Soon I will start the Tennis and Paddle Rector's Trophy ... Let's see how things work! "

And if that were not enough, he also takes time to defend projects in his hometown, Antequera. This year, the town will try to make its Dolmens a UNESCO World Heritage Site and for that it will have the help of the young player. "I feel super antequerano and I will always defend him to death. All that is to give support to my people and more in such a beautiful subject, is always satisfactory. "

His energy and good character is something that moves within the track, so it becomes an excellent companion. ¨ My strong point is that I do not usually get bitter on the track, I am always with the smile and calm. On the other hand, what I would have to improve the most is that sometimes I relax a lot and it costs me to close the games ... Especially when I'm winning clearly ".

About his future plans, he revealed: "Next year I will continue with my studies, combining them with the World Paddle Tour with José Carlos as a couple. We have already tried some tournaments and at the moment it has not been very good, although we have been improving. The change to Absolute is noticed, especially in the mentality of the people. They know how to play very well the key points despite going below the scoreboard. In the Circuit of Minors, people can sometimes feel pressure and nerves. "

To finish, he confessed: "It would be very nice to bring the title to Spain and not only that, but also to create a great team so that future generations can remember us."

One step closer to #MundialMenores2015... A date that we will be very aware of and in which the young promises of the national padel will make us vibrate with their magic and their talent.
