The 26 day of March, in an act full of closeness, Wilson's team presented us both the main novelties of his collection and all the members of his team. After a lively lunch, and just before entering the track with the professional players, Padel World Press, in the company of Contrapared, organized a round table in which Maxi Sánchez, Matías Díaz, Cristian Gutiérrez, Paquito Navarro, Miguel Lamperti, Álvaro took part Cepero and Juanjo Gutiérrez.

Padel World Press .- They have formed a true team. They have gathered in their ranks many of the best players in the world who, in addition to their undeniable talent on the track, also stand out for their great human qualities. Funny, with a lot of complicity between them, we could enjoy an interesting talk in which they left us many headlines.

To begin, Juanjo Gutiérrez, Team Manager of Wilson, confessed that thanks to his friendship with all of them it had been easier to convince them to join the firm's project: “We have known each other for many years but, of course, if not we had a quality product could not have signed any. They are great professionals, everyone is involved with the brand and I try to make them feel comfortable and at ease. If I have to wear slippers to a player's house, I know I have to do it and I do it delighted. They deserve it. If it were for me, I would keep this team my whole life ».

Always fun, Miguel Lamperti said: "I am not one of those people who notice the minimum differences between shoes or other. I only know if they are comfortable or not ... And Wilson's are the most comfortable with which I played. Usually, the partners usually put on their shoes several days in advance to adjust the foot. I premiere a new pair in each tournament and I have never had any problems with them. I am delighted".

One of the most played padel videos is the now famous moment in which Miguel Lamperti takes out the x3 ball with a frying pan. The Argentine told us the story: "It was in a clinic. There was an amateur who had sunglasses that I liked a lot and, joking with him, I told him why he did not give them to me. He told me to wait for him in the afternoon and well, that was the thing ... Until after a few hours he showed up with a pan and told me that if he was able to take it out, he would give them to me. I made a couple of attempts and I did not ... But I was catching the point. I must admit that I had a great deal of luck in achieving it and that's why, when I get it, in the video you hear that 'Skinny, I won the glasses'. From that moment, it is rare the clinic in which someone does not appear with a pan to repeat it again ".

After the initial jokes, it was time to get more serious and talk about all the news that, in recent weeks, have been generated about the future of professional padel. The first to take the floor was Juanjo Gutiérrez, who said: "There will be a Circuit, Male and Female, and it will continue to be called the World Padel Tour". Right after, it was Paquito Navarro who said: "The players were always calm. We knew we were going to have a Circuito, yes or yes, but we were aware that there were some steps to take and that could take some time. "

With his eyes on the season about to begin, Cristian Gutiérrez said: "Professional padel has been improving in every way year after year and this campaign should follow that trend. I think that for this, in the new Circuit the player would have to be involved and, from his point of view, to contribute ideas, suggestions and initiatives that help to improve. Last year, it was sold that it was going to be the Circuit of the players and then it was not like that. I am convinced that 2014 is going to take a leap in quality because we are doing things right ".

Both Matías Díaz and Paquito Navarro, Juanjo Gutiérrez and Chiqui Cepero agreed: "After the dissolution of the AJPP, a new Players Committee should emerge, in which professionals from the different levels of the ranking are represented, from top to bottom. more low. All the needs are equally important. It would be very interesting if a part of the fee that would be paid for belonging to that association were invested in a good lawyer, an advisor with specific preparation who was in charge of looking after our interests ".

Questioned by the much discussed theme of the 'internationalization of the paddle', Paquito Navarro was the most direct and said: "This sport must leave Spain yes or yes. But we must be aware that these first steps should be seen as a lost investment. It is very complicated that the tournaments that are organized outside have a massive influx of public because it is a little known sport. However, I am one of those who think that you have to sow to pick up later. The brands would have to bet to do more clinics in other countries, to take their players, to do product tests ... Little by little, we should take short but sure steps so that the paddle triumphs far from our borders ". Juanjo Gutiérrez added: "For me, that in the final of Portugal there were 500 people in the stands was a resounding success. That so many fans were able to pay an entrance to see that encounter is something that has not been valued in its just measure ".

With the presence of more and more brands in the market, the speakers at the round table agreed that this situation did not make any sense: "Recently, in a recount, in Wilson we accounted for a total of 104 blade brands. It's crazy People think that it is easy to make and sell shovels. In no time there will be a commercial screen and only the best will be left. "

When talking about challenges and motivations for this campaign, Chiqui Cepero proposed: "The goal of improving the ranking and being among the 9 and 11 couples in the world. My idol is Sanyo and being able to train with him is a real pleasure ". Paquito said that his desire is to improve the good results he already achieved with Tito Allemandi in 2012, while Maxi Sánchez again showed his ambition: "Sanyo and I always want more. The first step is to maintain the excellent level of last year and, from there, work to improve day by day. " Laughing, many of the members of the table said: "We have no doubt that Maxi and Sanyo will be higher this season."

Finally, and asked who the revelation couple will be, they had no doubt: «The pair that Ramiro Moyano and Matías Marina will form, we like very much. Surely they will give more than one surprise. They have talent, ambition, a lot of experience for their age and they are also friends. That is something that shows.

Laughing, talking about whether the player is born or made, with continuous 'spikes' and challenges, both press and professionals set course for the tracks of La Finca to test the new material of Wilson ... The final result is part of another story.
