Just a few hours ago it was confirmed that the great player should undergo surgery to overcome his injury ... Very shortly after, the Dunlop player spoke with his World Padel Tour colleagues to explain how he is living these difficult moments in his career.

Padel World Press .- She is one of the young promises of the Professional Circuit ... She has an unquestionable talent. Throughout this campaign, and with Alex Ruiz, was drawing the attention of the fans for their game and the good results they were reaping ... Until an inopportune injury to his right wrist stopped his unstoppable progression. Maty already knows that she will have to go through the operating room and that she will have to be at least three months off ...

In his talk with the companions of World Paddle Tour, he confessed: "I have broken the triangular fibrocartilage besides the damaged bone. I produced the injury a few days before Estrella Damm Valladolid Open, during a training session with weights. I felt like he hit me on the wrist, although I did not give much importance because the area was hot and I did not notice ... From that day on I started to hurt a lot every time I played. "

Despite this, he decided to play in the Valladolid event: "There it was very hard for me to train but even so it was the tournament that I played the best (laughs). They made me a strong bandage, I took anti-inflammatory and painkillers. After the appointment they continued testing me and they did not know what I had. They said it could be inflamed or there could be fluid. I went to the tournaments having trained little by pain and always played with bandages and anti-inflammatory. "

Asked about those early days, Maty said: “The truth is that I didn't see the injury being so serious. They recommended me to rest and continue with the anti-inflammatories, but there came a time when the pain did not calm me either. After the Master in Malaga I decided to travel to a clinic in Barcelona and they recommended me to do a conservative treatment before thinking about surgery, but it also did not give results and the best solution is to go through the operating room ».

What will the surgery consist of? The player himself said: "It is an arthroscopy but on Monday I will go back to Barcelona to explain what exactly everything consists of, both surgery, rehabilitation, etc. I estimate that I will be at least 3 months without being able to train padel ".

At the time of telling how he felt at the moment, he said: "The truth is that, at times, I am quite discouraged because I wanted to play with my partner. We were doing very good results and we have a lot of rapport. It is a pity that our career has been interrupted by an injury although I am thinking of recovering as soon as possible to be able to return to the tracks with the same level. I also want to thank the support that has given me all my family, friends, sponsors and all the people who have worried. This helps in the psychic to think about returning as soon as possible ".

In Padel World Press we join the wishes of World Pádel Tour ... We are sure that we will see Matías Marina delighting us with her magic inside the track soon!
