Do you repeat last year's team with which you climbed to second?
Yes, more or less the same. We wanted to keep the block.
How is the preparation for this appointment going? In the Championship of Catalonia where the team fell in semis against the Polo. How did you see your players in that tournament?
In that tournament we had quite a few casualties, really, although the Polo is a very strong team that on paper is superior to ours. I think if we had all the players I think we would have given more war. Even so we could maintain ourselves, which was the first goal, and the players who were present in the tournament did a good job, if we take into account the already mentioned losses.
Debutareis against Club Villa Pádel, team that was last year at 2ª. How do you see this tie?
We have not yet been able to evaluate the opposing team as we are focused on our preparation. I will have to value it with my players who are more active in the National Circuit to get to know our rivals better. In the end, however, much is reduced to your own team, to the extent that you can get compensated and competitive pairs. Sometimes it is better to try to go for three points than to try to win five, which is often very complicated.
These last few years have not been very good for your team, going down from 1ª to 3ª in two years. Now, with the promotion of last year, do you think you are climbing the flight?
I do not know, the last few years we have had a fairly homogeneous team. We have been going up and down for several years from 1ª to 2ª. However, the year that we went down to 3 was due to the fact that they put the Unique Ranking and it was against one of the two seeded teams. Then in the elimination round of the relegation, we had the bad luck to face the TPI, the Tarragona team that started its journey, and they eliminated us by little.
Is your goal therefore to maintain or go a point beyond?
We will try to upload to 1ª as it is ... But if we stay we will also be happy. It will depend a little on the level of contraries.
What would you highlight most about the team as its most representative hallmarks?
It is a very well-matched team, with very competitive players, who have quite a lot of games behind them. Also, being players who have been playing together for a long time, they know each other very well, counting on regular partners, being a point in our favor. Even so there are more and more young girls who are playing well, with which there is more competition, and more with the progressive professionalization of the paddle. We are going to face girls who train every day for sure, which we do not do (laughs).
Which are the decisions that you would highlight as more difficult than you have to take as captain of the team?
When you have to leave players out and I, as well as being a captain, I'm also a player, because if I leave some out to play myself, it always carries more responsibility if possible. Although usually as the tournament approaches, there are always players who can not play for various reasons, which often remove themselves (laughs). For this Championship, when you catch close, you will surely have most of them.
