They were enjoying and disputing an exciting game against Alejandra Salazar-Marta Marrero until an injury to the left knee of the first forced him to retire. Shortly after the conquest of his third title this season, our teammate Daniel Gamarra was able to speak with the Atomic Twins.

Padel World Press .- They have consolidated their role as current world number 1 but, on this occasion, their victory had a bittersweet taste ... And it was that it occurred after the abandonment of one of their rivals due to injury.

The members of the StarVie Team They are confirmed as the great rivals to beat after having won three of the four titles that the Women's Circuit has held so far in this 2017.

As they confessed just after the end of the Valladolid Open: "It was a shame to win in this way. It was a beautiful game, in which the four of us were performing at a great level. We sincerely hope that Alejandra's injury is nothing or that within what she can be, she can recover as soon as possible so that she will soon return to the tracks ".

How do you value your performance in the tournament?

It was a good tournament for us. We have maintained the aggressive line of play that we have had since the beginning of the season but at the same time we have had great defensive strength. We have already won 3 tournaments in Valladolid, so we can say that we are good at it. It is a beautiful setting and the track is very fast, so it benefits us in our game.

How do you feel, Majo, after being named MVP of the match?

Well, I feel very happy. I think the prize could have been given to any of the four because we were all playing very well. I feel very happy although I do not give much importance because, in the paddle, the victories are of the couple, not individual.
