It's time to take stock. Just a few hours after the final match of the Estrella Damm Palma de Mallorca Open, the World Padel Tour wanted to make a first assessment of the Circuit's passage through Balearic lands and, in conclusion, it seems that this event has won hollow in the professional calendar.

Padel World Press .- At sport level, the great expectations generated by the numerous changes of couple that had occurred during the previous weeks were fulfilled ... And, in addition, the tournament was closed with the dispute of the game that had been dreaming fans since the inaugural event of the season: the first face to face between Juan Martín Díaz and Fernando Belasteguín.

Although their presence was not foreseen in the Initial Calendar, the truth is that since World Padel Tour they always had Mallorca as the first option in the case of the fall of some of the 'confirmed' venues. Aware of the great passion with which this sport lives on the islands, fans confirmed the great success of betting on this city and completely filled the stands of the Palau Son Moix during the dispute of the final rounds.

In turn, it should be noted that the facilities of Pins Pins Club remained small before the high number of spectators who wanted to follow closely the evolution of the Pre-Previous and Previous ... It did not stop them or the suffocating heat.

Many unknowns to clear

Before the start of the test, there were many doubts to know what would be the performance of the new couples that had formed ... And although they had different results, the truth is that they mostly performed at a remarkable level, showed great motivation and confirmed that can give a lot of war from here until the end of this campaign.

Of course, we should review the return to a great final by Juan Martín Díaz. The Drop Shot did not know what it was to fight for the conquest of a title in 2015 but, in his first tournament with Maxi Sánchez, he managed to reach the decisive match after eliminating Paquito Navarro-Matías Díaz in an exciting semifinal.

Others who also conveyed a very positive image were Cristian Gutiérrez-Agustín Gómez Silingo and Juani Mieres-Sanyo Gutiérrez who, despite still having many things to work on, made it very clear that they will encourage the final stretch of the season.

And what about Fernando Belasteguín-Pablo Lima? Well, very simple: they are still one step ahead of the rest and this was demonstrated by the conquest of their third consecutive title. Since the return of Pablito in Argentina after overcoming his injury, we have lost a single shock.

The recognition of a 'great'

One of the most moving images of the Estrella Damm Palma de Mallorca Open was the tribute that the Federation of Padel of the Balearic Islands wanted to give to Willy Lahoz.

Francisco Sanz, President of the aforementioned Federation, handed a plaque to the player and a video was broadcast with the opinion of several of his colleagues from the Professional Circuit ... All of them coincided in highlighting the talent and magic of Madrid. Undoubtedly, deserved recognition to his successful sports career

No room for rest ...

Almost without time to have savored the great moments lived in Mallorca, the World Paddle Tour team has already arrived in Malaga to start the assembly of the spectacular stage that will be set up at the José María Martín Carpena Sports Palace.

The countdown begins for the second Master of the campaign. Each time there is less for the start of the Victoria Málaga Master Beers, an event in which the girls will return to the competition and we will know the composition of their Pictures on Thursday, the 23 day in July.

The show does not stop and we can only say ... Enjoy the Game !!!
