They are the 'kings' of the Challengers. The two great Argentine players won their third title as partners, the second of this season. To make it a reality, they managed to overcome in the final match of Madrid Challenger Ale Galán-Juan Cruz Belluati by 6-4 and 6-2.
Padel World Press .- After winning the Reebok Sports Club The Challenger 2016 and the Lisboa Challanger 2017, Godo and Lucho added a new success to their locker and, with firm step, they made use of the forecasts that indicated them as the heads of series number 1 of the tournament.
The numerous fans who completely filled the Central Court of the Sanset Padel Indoor Club enjoyed one of those vibrant duels, with many alternatives and that put a brilliant climax to a week full of magical moments and passion for the paddle.
Two great pairs crossed their paths in the final match in which, as expected, were small details that ended up tilting the balance, in this case, to the side of Godo Diaz-Lucho Capra.
Before being in the final, the future champions had to leave José Antonio García Diestro-Martín Sánchez Piñeiro on the way (6-4, 6-7 and 6-3), to Seba Nerone-Álex Ruiz (7-6 , 6-7 and 7-6) and Juan Tello-Fede Chingotto (6-4 and 7-6). Thus they arrived until the definitive shock, in which they had to see the faces with Ale Galán-Juan Cruz Belluati that had transmitted very good sensations during all the test.
It was expected an equal, exciting commitment, with many alternatives ... And that was what happened. In a very entertaining first set for the spectators, both pairs were grounded, they were gauging their strength and a break in service in favor of Godo and Lucho allowed them to get ahead on the scoreboard.
In the second set, the top favorites managed to impose their law and, very strong from start to finish, closed the commitment with the definitive 6-4 and 6-2.
The third Challenger of the season fully met the expectations placed in this competition format in which, with the absence of the 20 best players in the WPT Ranking, opens the possibility of seeing in the final rounds a pair that, by potential and talent, they have everything to make the fans enjoy.
With no room for rest, the World Paddle Tour Circuit prepares for its next appointment ... And it is already running the Previous of the Valladolid Open, an appointment whose first rounds will be played in the Club Raqueta Valladolid from 18 to 25 in June.
