The player from Granada, who finished the year in the company of the young and promising Tamara Icardo, ended this 2017 with her participation in the Keler Bilbao Open. In this test, they were eliminated in the round of eighth finals.

Padel World Press .- With the dispute of Bilbao Open, most of the players of the World Padel Tour Circuit put the end to the current season, so it is time to reflect, take stock and start thinking about what is to come during the next campaign.

This is what Lucia Martínez did through her official profiles on social networks. "Hard game in which we had five set balls in the first and we could not take advantage of them. The second set we continue competing until the end, "said the Andalusian on the clash in the second round of the test in Bilbao, which were measured by Carolina Navarro and Cecilia Reiter, before those who fell by 7-6 and 6-2.

The player from Granada, who ended up in the 21 number of the World Padel Tour ranking, closed the season with some very positive numbers: 46 games won, 44 lost and presence on two occasions in the quarterfinal round. As he stated: "In general, very happy with the match, with the sensations and with the work we did ".

In addition, there was mention for Tamara Icardo: "Great company!". The Andalusian player, who started the year with Carla Mesa and then competed in a tournament with Victoria Iglesias, he joined his way to the Valencia at the end of last July.

If Lucia stands out for her punch and delivery on the track, Tamara is one of the setbacks with more potential on the international scene and, so far, have shown that they are a duo with great potential. Good proof of this are the quarterfinals that reached in the Vallbanc Andorra Open, played in September, where they defeated Valeria Pavón-Ana Catarina Nogueira in the second round.
