Padel World Press .- One more season, fans from Madrid could enjoy a new edition of a very special tournament, in which the best players from their community were delivered to the maximum throughout an intense week of competition, in which Raúl Díaz - Raúl Marcos y Marta Ortega - Vero Virseda they imposed their law and took title.
In the case of the Men's Table, the 1 seeds were placed in the decisive game without conceding a single set while their rivals, Jacobo Blanco - Jorge Nieto, they were able to carry out tough commitments such as the one that confronted them with Kike Lagarejos - Mario Huete or the one who measured their strength with those of David García Campos - Peter San Román.
In the grand final, Blanco - Nieto took the lead on the scoreboard but the favorites were able to turn the situation around and prevailed 4-6, 6-1 and 6-4.
Very happy for the victory, Raúl Díaz highlighted through social networks: “Absolute Champions of Madrid… I am very happy to have revalidated this title for the second year in a row since it is something that gives us a lot of encouragement to continue training every day . The truth is that this does not stop. On Wednesday we will have another tough WPT battle. I want to congratulate my partner for the tournament and thank all the people who were cheering. A final without much history in the Women's Draw
Among the girls, as the days went by, it didn't take long to see that two couples were emerging as the great favorites to reach the grand final ... And those forecasts were fulfilled.
Marta Talaván - Isa Domínguez, seed number 1, stood in the final match after having won all their matches with great authority while Marta Ortega-Vero Virseda did the same by overcoming a very complicated match in the semifinals (in which they defeated 6-3, 3 -6 and 6-2) to Carla Mesa - Alicia Lilian Berl.
It was expected a very even commitment but it was not like that. Serious, very solid and dominating from start to finish, Ortega-Virseda was imposed by 6-1 and 6-1.
