Padel World Press .- The paddle has a series of basic strokes, fundamental to begin to 'defend' within the track and to begin to have fun. However, as a little more level is acquired, other types of blows are necessary, which can also be definitive to decant a match in our favor:

Volley

It is one of the most used hits near the net and in offensive areas. It is a high hit, above the hip, that will help us attack our rivals and not lose the network.

To make a good volley it is essential to place the paddle in front of our face (that the profile looks towards us) and to place us with the knees bent and the feet, on tiptoe and in parallel.

In this way, and to perform the hit correctly, it will be the leg opposite to the hit that we will advance, getting the corresponding shoulder to the pair. If we hit with the right it will be the left foot that goes forward and if we do it with the reverse it will be the right that we will move. A forward transition between our upper trunk and the leg on the same side.

In addition, the point of impact with the ball must always be in front of our body and, if possible, at the height of our head or shoulder.

Tray

Although for initiation levels is a blow not recommended, as we raise our level will be gaining more importance ... And it is the most important blow in the tactical section of the paddle because it will allow us never to lose the network when rivals try surpass us with a balloon.

It is an approach shot that is worked exclusively by technique. To do it correctly we must place ourselves on the side, with the shovel at the height of the head and in parallel, with the arm that does not hit extended. Once prepared the blow will be the arm of the blow that will perform a sweep forward to hit the ball where your opposite arm points (as far ahead as possible) thus seeking the greatest depth.

Auction

The defining blow par excellence. It is the most usual way to finish a play against a short ball or that is close to the net and that combines visual beauty, power and effectiveness.

To make a good 'smash' we must raise the paddle above (and behind) our head, with the arm that carries it fully extended. Once in this position we will perform the adjustment steps, in order to place ourselves under the ball and thus reach the highest point of impact.

Once placed in the optimal hitting area, the arm with the shovel should print the maximum possible force to the blow by projecting the blow downwards and in front (as in diagonal) ending the auction in the opposite pocket.

These shots will help us increase our level and enjoy each day a little more on the court ...
