Padel World Press .- A little over a year ago, Laura Clergue counted how his union was forged Meli García, with which he got along very well from the first time they shared the track. With firm step, without stopping to go further, not only closed 2017 disputing the Masters of the Madrid Federation of Paddle but also stepped with much assiduity the tables of numerous tournaments of the World Padel Tour, reaching the round of 16 of the Keler Bilbao Open.

With great enthusiasm placed in the new season, the truth is that the results were not entirely as expected as they were eliminated in the first rounds of the Estrella Damm Catalunya Master (6-3 and 6-1 ante Carolina Navarro-Ceci Reiter), of the Alicante Open (6-3 and 6-2 against Lorena Alonso-Virginia Riera) and of the Zaragoza Open (1-6, 6-1 and 6-2 against Alicia Blanco-Bea Caldera).

At the time of the farewell, Laura Clergue highlighted through their social networks:

"Good afternoon everyone.

I wanted to announce that today, @_meli__garcia and I separated our paths. After a very good season and many memories together, we have chosen by mutual agreement to continue evolving each one of our side.

It was a difficult decision to make but it was necessary to keep improving. Thank you, Meli, for everything and good luck !!

The next @worldpadeltour_oficial I'll play with Andrea Medina Tomás and, for the remainder of the season, time will tell. "

For his part, Meli García said: “Today Laura Clergue and I parted ways. It is about a separation by mutual agreement and thinking that it may not be a goodbye but a see you later. I want to thank you for all these months that we have been fighting and growing together on the court… Of course the friendship continues !! I wish you the best".
