Padel World Press - El Vigo Open, fourth round of the World Padel Tour season, already has champions. Marta Marrero and Marta Ortega have achieved their third title of the season after defeating Gemma Triay and Lucía Sainz for 6-3 and 6-4.

And is that the final was going to face the current pairs one and three of the World Padel Tour ranking in an unprecedented game on Sundays and although Marrero and Ortega marked as favorites, had a halo of unpredictability.

A final that would begin with the clear dominance of the 'Martas'. Ortega and Marrero jumped on the track with the intention of imposing their rhythm, put a quick distance on the scoreboard and, from there, dominate the game. And so they would.

The first set was a monopoly of the couple one and although Gemma and Lucia had a chance to break, the reality marked that Marrero and Ortega took the first duel for a clear 6-3.

With the first partial resolved, a Triay and Sainz only had to reinvent the party and shake it and that would be his storyline of the start in the second set.

They jumped more intense and with the purpose of shaking the net, and they were about to dynamite the game in the beginning with a first game in which they had up to two break balls that did not materialize.

And from there the duel returned to the script in which numbers one feel comfortable. Marrero fime in the reverse taking advantage of any definition option and Ortega deploying that solid and effective game that is characterizing this, until now, superb 2019.

The title would be defined in the second set and would do so by a tight 6-3 and 6-4 that gave the triplet in the season to Marrero and Ortega and that ratifies that, to date, they are the most fit pair of the World Padel Tour women's ranking.
