Between October 01 and 04, on the slopes of the Hotel Houstonian Club & Spa, a new stop of the first Circuit organized by the USPA was held. As already happened in its inaugural test, the good atmosphere, fun and passion for paddle tennis that reigned in the event confirmed once again that this sport has more and more followers in the United States.
Padel World Press .- After all that lived for four days to remember, one could only say that all expectations were exceeded ... And the fact is that the American Association was very surprised by the high number of fans who signed up to participate in the second tournament of this unprecedented competition in the history of paddle tennis in the country of the 'stars and stripes'.
With Male and Female Tables, one of the notes to note is that there were cash prizes for both categories, thanks to the contributions of the Main Sponsors: Beyond Power and Choice Energy. In this first edition, other companies that wanted to bet and contribute their grain of sand to this Circuit were Vairo, Herbalife, Lancaster Homes, Longo Legal and Restaurante Texas de Brazil.
In the sporting aspect, it should be noted that all the participants had a great time, enjoying a sport that has become their great passion. The organization of Mike May and the rest of the team responsible for the USPA was impeccable, without forgetting that the wonderful environment in which the event was played contributed to this becoming a real party.
As a curiosity, we can not ignore that in the Feminine Table there was representation of Mexico, Canada as well as the three states in which, to date, padel is played in the United States: Los Angeles, Miami and Houston.
The fight for the title between the girls was exciting. After more than two and a half hours on the court, Lucia Iborra-Gina Gardner beat 6-4, 5-7 and 7-6 to Patricia Salazar-Belén Salcedo
On the other hand, in the Men's Draw (with players from Spain, France and USA), the triumph fell on the side of Nalle Grinda-Gabriel Meana. Both won by a double 6-2 Francisco Riveroll-Fernando Alarcón.
Everything is ready for the third and last stop of this first edition of the USPA Paddle Tour ... This appointment will take place between the 3 and 6 days in December.
The Association is still working to generalize the passion for this sport and, step by step, they are making their goal a reality ... Every time they are closer to the 'American Dream' of the paddle!
