Do not miss it!!

"Hello friends. I have already told you my vision of the transition from Minors to Professionals, the life of paddle tennis players and teachers ... Now, I would like to tell you my version of my paddle companions.

I believe that the padel partner is a rare thing. What is most similar is a 'partner' on the track and outside of it, too ... And I say 'weird' for several reasons that I now explain:

1) It's my friend but it doesn't belong to me, because I don't buy it and he doesn't buy it from me. At any time it can be changed.

2) We look like a marriage but we are not. We have not married but we live day to day and spend several hours together, in training, trips, dinners, meals, room, etc.

3) It seems like a friendship, you are united by the passion for paddle tennis and many hours together. He is not your friend at all, but if you create a bond of trust, where he often knows more about your fears and your strengths and more things than your own friends (that is how you also start a friendship but at first it is not).

4) It looks like a crutch when we are lame because, without the partner, we could not play and he without us, neither ... But it is not.

For all this, I believe that my padel compi is my partner to work together on the track and also outside to meet the objectives.

In the case of professionals, in general, it stays for the whole season and towards the end of it there is a little talk about whether you want to continue the next one; In many cases, it is more than clear that you get along well or that you don't get changed. In other cases, which has happened to me, he stays with the partner, but there is a call from another player @ and it is decided to change despite having talked about continuing. In my long career I have been in all situations.

1) The one to receive a call and leave my partner.

2) Calling someone knowing that they have compi and whoever they call leaves their partner.

3) The one that calls my partner and leaves me for a new member.

4) The one who calls and my partner says no and continues with me.

In any of these situations, one may or may not want to continue with that partner, but I think that in no case, get angry ... Because for me it is a work decision that, as in any job, we take more or less affection for a coworker and decides to go to another company. We are working and we are a partner to work and perform well on the track, which is our office. Off the track, we also work for the proper functioning of the couple in terms of paddle and physical training, looking for new sponsors or keeping the ones that exist, etc ...

All of these are common goals that, in the case of professionals, make them perform well to win more games and that leads to a higher ranking and, therefore, more money. When one of the partners does not do the same as the other or when they do not compensate (sometimes one is better at one thing or another) is when there are conflicts.

In the case of amateur, there also has to be a common goal, whether it is having fun, giving everything in each ball, having the same attitude on the court, etc ...

So friends, look at what your goal is and then look for your partner.
