Padel World Press .- To get everything to go perfectly, from the Spanish Federation of Paddle appointed as Chief Arbitrator to Juan Alfonso García Rico, who wanted to share with the colleagues of the FEP their impressions and what they expect from a test that promises strong emotions.

To begin with, it should be noted that Juan Alfonso took his first steps in arbitration in the world of tennis and, as he himself related, from the first moment he was interested in knowing in depth all the details of the paddle tennis regulations: «As This sport, at first, was not very far from tennis, it had an organizational part parallel to refereeing. And I used that as training to try to do my job as well and as professionally as possible. Then you start calling more and more important competitions, the Spanish and World Championships, Professional Tournaments, and you get hooked… That is generating a great illusion for doing your job well ».

When assessing the situation the paddle is currently facing, he did not hesitate to point out that: “As is undoubted, it is going through a great moment. This is demonstrated by the fact that there are many practitioners, many facilities…. In my opinion, he has a long way to go that would be shortened if the professional part were institutionalized as it happens with big sports. It would be gained in expansion, in diffusion and, above all, in professionalism ”.

Asked about the challenges that he and the rest of the members of the arbitration coaching staff will have to face throughout this weekend, Juan Alfonso García Rico said: «Let everything go out to ask for players, organizers and the public. Despite possible delays, team and player behavior, I hope the public environment is 10 ».

It should be remembered that the Spain Championship by Absolute Teams of 2ª Category It will be played at the Liceo SportCenter Club and the Padel La Despensa sports center. Each member of the refereeing team will be at a venue and, with the help provided by the organization of both clubs, they will work to make the event a real party.

In his statements, Juan Alfonso García Rico asserted that it is unacceptable for a player to have unsportsmanlike and rude behavior that goes beyond competitive behavior. «This type of behavior does not make a player great. Besides his technical and physical qualities, what makes a player great, at least from my point of view, is fair play and humility, qualities that are compatible with competitiveness ”.

La Spanish Federation Every year he gives several training courses for national referee judges and, therefore, took the opportunity to send some advice to new students. «I would suggest that they train continuously, that they learn from their colleagues who are already more experts, that they do a lot of practice in their clubs, even in an amateur tournament, that they never stop learning and, above all, a lot of humility in order to learn from players , parents, coaches, colleagues ... Never be shy about asking something that you have doubts or that you do not know to any other partner ».
