Padel World Press .- Do not miss the second installment of the articles that José Carlos Gaspar will share with the readers of Padel World Press during this season. Do you want to know how you would rate your passage through Estrella Damm Zaragoza Open??

"The Spanish Championship was played this year in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. In the end, many couples did not sign up so we stayed like seeds 9 number. The bad fortune was that, in the second round, we had to cross with the great favorites: Josete Rico and Víctor Ruíz. Despite this, we knew that if we played well we could raise a good game and we got to set ourselves up with a break break in our favor but I don't know if we were not able to maintain our level ... The fact is that they, obviously, showed that they are a great couple and that the good results they have had lately are not the result of chance, so they ended up taking the victory.

In spite of that, I would have to say that we took a positive reading of the tournament, we had a very good week in Gran Canaria and it served as a training for WPT Zaragoza.

We arrived on Saturday night in Madrid and on Sunday morning we left for Zaragoza. Our debut in the Pre-Preview was very good as we won more easily than expected to a very tough pair; the second shock cost us a bit more and the final of Pre-Previa was very hard, as demonstrated by the triumph by 7-6, 6-7 and 6-4 against Javi Rico and Coki Nieto.

We were happy for the pass but it was a commitment that demanded a lot of wear and, to top it off, I had the bad luck of bending one of the fingers of my left hand. We went to rest and got up in pretty good physical condition.

We had another Previa, the third this year. We were eager to move forward and get into the first final of the year, we took the first round but we did not know how to keep the game and they improved theirs. Chico Gomes and Ernesto Moreno beat us by 3-6, 6-3 and 6-4.

On the one hand it is frustrating to see that these duels continue to escape for small details but, if we think about everything cold, I feel much more comfortable on the track, we are getting quite confident and I think that if we follow this line of play and training let's go the right way. It only remains for me to be able to combine everything these two weeks with the final exams and arrive in the best conditions to Jaén.

All the best

José Carlos Gaspar. "
