He was one of the most outstanding players of the WingPádel Team during the 2016 season. Thanks to his triumphs both in the Absolute Spain Championship and in the Barcelona Challenger, both together with Gonzalo Rubio, he showed that, at his 29 years, he is going through the best moment of his professional career.

Padel World Press .- In addition to these outstanding titles, the Grenadian closed last season with Peter Alonso (with whom he will continue sharing the track) performing at a high level.

With the morality through the clouds, with the desire to continue growing in every way, the WingPádel Team member confessed that the main objective will be to improve the results obtained in 2016: «It is true that last season was good but I think we can aspire to more. We are preparing thoroughly and we really want to start. The 2017 is presented with a lot of ambition and eager to show that we have the level to be among the best ».

Regarding the two victories he achieved in the company of Gonzalo Rubio, he stressed that they were: «Two very special moments. Being champion of Spain and getting the first WPT title was something unthinkable at the beginning of the year. The Spanish Championship saw it as something very distant because the best players have always participated. Luckily, the opportunity was given and we were able to seize the moment. Then, the Barcelona Challenger title was also very special. It is always a great satisfaction to win a World Paddle Tour Tournament ».

When talking about his signature, Javi Ruiz said: «WingPádel has already made a name among the best. This year he repeats with players who can give many triumphs and I, in particular, wish him many successes to this firm.

Like last season, it will again wield the Air Force Gold shovel, the weapon with which it will try to realize its objective of qualifying for the quarterfinals of a World Padel Tour tournament. «That is the challenge. We know that both the Masters and the Open are the best players on the circuit. The most we have done so far has been about eighths but, of course, we think we can do a quarter and, why not, aim for semifinals.
