Do not miss the second part of our interview with the young and promising player of the StarVie Team. After knowing how were his beginnings in the paddle and what are the memories that he keeps with more affection, it is time to review how he lived his first steps in the Professional Circuit and what are the dreams he would like to make reality.

Padel World Press .- He has not yet completed the 16 years but continues to burn stages in his growth at a great speed. The Cordovan, one of the great references of the Junior Circuit, already knows what it is to compete in the World Pádel Tour where, together with Chico Gomes, he was one step away from qualifying for the Main Draw of the Sevilla Open.

He is aware that he still has a long way to go, that he still has many steps to take in his training… But he is not lacking in enthusiasm, desire and talent.

Do not miss the second part of our interview with one of the young promises of the national padel.

This year you have already tried what it is to compete in the Professional Circuit. What has impressed you the most?

What has impressed me the most is the number of couples that there are and, above all, the great level that is already from the Pre-Preview and Preview tournaments of the World Paddle Tour Circuit ... Equality is so great that I don't understand how they are always the same up there.

Would you recommend to the boys of your age that they play WPT tournaments if they have the opportunity?

Yes, it is something that I would recommend to all who have the opportunity. It is a unique experience, which is very useful especially for the Minors who are used to winning ... In the Professional Circuit, the most normal thing is that you arrive at your first Pre-Qualifying match and have to go home. It comes in very handy to learn what Absolute Competition is.

In Seville you played with Chico Gomes… How did that opportunity arise and how would you value the experience?

It came about because I didn't have anyone to play in Seville and I was in Madrid, playing the Challenger ... I think I just needed to ask the Referee if he wanted to be my partner and well, I saw that Chico was signed up in the morning but at the late no longer. The deadline was running out the next day at 12:00 in the morning and when I saw Chico's, I wrote to Ismael Cancho, from PadelNuestro, asking him if he wanted to play with me, even if it was almost impossible ... I thought "how will he want Boy playing with a 15 year old boy and with only 24 points in the WPT Ranking ”. Well yes, he accepted. When I spoke with him I couldn't even believe it. I lacked just enough to cry with joy. Once in the tournament, I took it as another experience and went to enjoy it. I think that's why I played at my level and I would value it as a unique experience and I wouldn't say unrepeatable… Because I'm looking forward to repeating it again.

What lesson did you learn from sharing a track with Chico?

The most important thing was that you don't have to give up a meeting for lost. That is something that I experienced, above all, in the first crossing of Previa against a couple like Bueno-Escalante. We were going 1-6, 4-5 and break ball against. However, we knew how to come back and win the commitment by 1-6, 7-5 and 6-4… We stayed one game away from qualifying for the round of XNUMX of the WPT Sevilla Open.

You are completing a spectacular 2016, full of good results. How would you rate your performance during this campaign? Did you expect a year like that?

The truth is that it has been a very good year. I started in Minors with the challenge of playing in a category superior to mine throughout the season with Pablo Castillo. A very positive point this year have been the Absolutes of Andalusia with Pablo Herrera, where we managed to win a championship, make finals and semi-finals against great couples, like Cepero- Javi Ruiz in Almuñécar, where we lost in 3 sets. I have managed to finish as number 5 of Absolute Andalusia and enter the Absolute Preselection. Without a doubt, I did not expect it.

Do you have any mania or ritual that you usually repeat before each game?

Yes, I always try to put myself on the bench in which the couple that has won the previous match has been. Another is that I also try to wear the same shirt that I have won the previous couple (if I have played against them) and, if not, what I try is not to wear the shirt with which I lost the last match.

What has it meant in your career that a brand like StarVie Have you decided to bet on you?

Since I started taking paddle tennis more seriously, the truth is that I am linked to what is, in my opinion, the best brand of the moment. I can show you photos of just 10 years old playing with the R-20… And now we are on the R8.2 !! I am very happy to be able to continue with them and I hope we can be linked for a long time to come.

What model do you play with and what do you like most about him?

In these moments I play with the R8.2 Carbon. It is a racket that I really like the touch of because it is very comfortable ... And that is not to mention its spectacular characteristics in terms of power and control.

What dreams, what goals would you like to fulfill in the world of paddle tennis?

My dream, since I was little, has always been to be a padel professional and try to be the best player in the world ... I will fight for it because it is what I love and I am passionate about. I still dream of being able to play with a full arena and in which the public chants my name from the stands.

What message would you like to convey to the readers of Padel World Press?

I am one of the daily readers of Padel World Press !! I would invite all the sufferers to follow us on all networks, since there is current paddle information every day. Finally, I would like to thank you Oscar, for allowing me to appear in your online newspaper talking a little about myself… Thank you very much !! I also want to thank the sponsors, my family and my coach for helping me improve in all aspects every day. Without them, this would be impossible.
