Padel World Press - Agustin Tapia and Arturo Coello They dominate the WPT Marbella Master 2023 with an Impressive 42-Fight Win Streak
There is no stopping them! Agustín Tapia and Arturo Coello continue their unstoppable undefeated march on the World Padel Tour circuit, adding today their 42nd victory and their ninth consecutive title.
In the final, they faced Momo Gonzalez and Sanyo Gutierrez, which had eliminated the powerful Superpibes in the semifinals. Although the numbers 4 managed to resist in the early stages of the game, Tapia and Coello took advantage of the right moment and they took the only break of the first set in the eighth game, thus sealing a 6-3. It is surprising how little Tapia and Coello need to tip a game in their favor.
In the second set, the number 1s continued their dominance, closing the first part with three consecutive games and opening the second with another three in his account. Sanyo and Momo managed to interrupt the run of Tapia and Coello with a break that brought them closer on the scoreboard, but the number 1 were not willing to make concessions. Once again, with three games in a row, secured a resounding 6-2 victory.
Agustín Tapia and Arturo Coello once again demonstrated their power, ending the tournament without conceding a single set against.
After the game, Agustín Tapia announced that he will take a few weeks off to recover from the physical problems in his right arm that he has been suffering in recent weeks. Therefore, it is very likely that he will not participate in the French Open, which starts in a week.
