Padel World Press .- They started the season as one of the couples called to fight for the number 1 in the world but, on the track, they did not achieve the desired regularity. Capable of the best and the worst, Sanyo Gutiérrez and Franco Stupaczuk did not shine as expected and closed the campaign as number 5 and 8 in the world, respectively, so they decided to take separate paths.

Just a few hours after the end of the Masters Finals, the appointment with which the curtain fell on this atypical 2020, Franco Stupaczuk himself pointed out through his social networks:

“Dani and I put an end to our stage as partners 🙅

I speak in general when I say that it has been a very complicated year for everyone in terms of the pandemic but, for us, perhaps in sports it also affected a lot ... Nobody knew if we could return to compete and schedule training or look for another source of work after the Master of Marbella, a test in which we played well but without finding that formula in which we were comfortable. I think we deserved that final but we got there playing individual paddle tennis, which we both didn't like.

We returned to compete post-pandemic and the same thing happened to us again ... Little feeling, individualism ... Until we had a very serious meeting where we said: "If we both played well, why is it so difficult for us to meet on the court?".

There were only two options: separate our paths even if we have 3 tournaments (yes, we were very close to not following) or we put the batteries and resign that individual game.

Many criticized me because, of course, it is very easy to blame the 'asshole' but paddle tennis is played in pairs and if something does not work, not only Dani and I are to blame if not all of our work team as well. he knows and trains us day by day, who knows about this sport and understands it.

After this, we fit pieces and we became a more solid couple that, although they did not win tournaments, were comfortable on the court and I knew that the results would come and that's how it was… Maybe we didn't meet our goal, which was clearly to fight to be number 1, but we did show that with a lot of effort things can go better. Those in front also play and the difference in matches is minimal. You may think that we are robots that always have good morning but it is not like that. There is a lot of level in the circuit.

It took me a lot of learning as with each partner with whom I shared a track and I wish Sanyo the best from now on. 😘

Another WPT season that is leaving us but your love remains firm year after year and I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️.

New personal and sporting projects are coming, which I will tell you little by little 🤝. "

We will have to remain very attentive to the next movements since, shortly, we will know the names of the new colleagues of Sanyo Gutiérrez and Franco Stupaczuk for a 2021 that is exciting.

The show does not stop and we can only say ... Enjoy the Game !!!
