Padel World Press .- It is already confirmed ... From February 15 to 21, with the Chile Open, a new edition of the Circuit APT Padel Tour, an event that will have a total of 18 tournaments spread over 12 countries, which will have greater prizes than ever and will have tests in three categories: Open, Master and Grand Master.
By virtue of the agreements reached with the CAPF (Continental American Padel Federation) and with the FEPA (Federation of European Padel), appointments will be held in several of the member countries. In turn, both institutions will have as the Unique Official Ranking the one generated in APT Padel Tour.
It is no secret that, since its creation, Monte Carlo International Sports wanted this competition to become a new stage for thousands of players who have nowhere to practice their profession and that, also, open the doors to the youngest, without limitations of any kind. With different organizers, thanks to APT, more sources of work will be generated and training courses will be held with the aim of making this sport more professional.
As we have already said, APT Padel Tour will have three categories: Open, Master and Grand Master. As a novelty, both in America and in Europe, more than 20 tournaments of the Future category will be organized ... Among which there will be 10 tests of the Fabrice Pastor Cup, the circuit created by Fabrice Pastor, CEO of Monte Carlo International Sports, which has been a success in several countries since its creation in 2015 and from which several players have emerged who today shine in world padel.
More than just a few tournaments
As its organizers pointed out, the Open will distribute 35 thousand dollars in prizes, the Master 60 thousand and the Grand Master 100 thousand (euros in the tests that take place in Europe). The Final Draw of the Open will be made up of 24 couples (4 classified from the previous phase) and the first eight couples will be exempt from the first round ... For their part, in the Masters, the quota will be 28 pairs (4 from the phase previous) and the first four seeds will advance directly to the round of 32 while, in the Grand Master there will be 4 couples in the final draw (XNUMX qualified from the previous phase).
The season will close with the Final Master dispute, which will be accessed by the 8 best pairs of the Annual Ranking. This last appointment will be played under the Round Robin or league regime in the first phase, in which the first two of each group will qualify for the semifinals.
As they pointed out from APT Padel Tour: “The implementation of this project would not be possible without the support of the organizers and also of the brands that will accompany us in this new scenario for world paddle tennis. To highlight the agreement reached with Babolat, the prestigious brand in racquet sports, which will be the Official Ball and Footwear of the Circuit. It will also continue to collaborate with APT, one of the pioneers in the world of paddle tennis: Royalpadel. In his hands are the collection of shovels and the official clothing of the circuit. There will be many more companies that we will be announcing in the coming months and who welcome this commitment to the true internationalization of paddle tennis ”.
Without losing sight of COVID
The APT Padel Tour 2021 Calendar is being made at the expense of what happens with COVID in each of the organizing countries. This situation of global alarm and restrictions has forced to change dates and venues according to the rules established in each nation. For this reason, the aforementioned test in Chile will be followed from March 15 to 21 by the Paraguay Master, which will take place in Asunción. In April the leap to Europe will be made. From 05 to 11 the Monaco Open will take place and, a week later, the excitement will move to Belgium.
The tour will continue in May with the first foray into Argentina, the United States and Mexico, where three consecutive tournaments will be played ... Until now the first part of the year, in a Circuit that will be present in 12 countries: Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, Mexico, United States, Monaco, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland and Finland. The inclusion of new venues in a calendar that will run until December is not ruled out.
