The CD Padelmérida facilities became the venue for the XIXth edition of an exciting competition, which demonstrated the good health that the sport is experiencing in the Community.

Padel World Press .- The best Extremaduran players gathered at the Absolute Championships, which surprised both locals and strangers due to the high number of participants as well as the public that gathered during the five-day event.

In total, more than 200 matches were played in which competed over 150 pairs, which contributed to set a new record of participation in the history of this important event.

After some thrilling shocks and full of emotion, it was the day of the finals, which were broadcast live, via streaming, on the FexPádel TV channel.

In Men's Category, the victory went to Luis Amador and Jorge Señorán who, in the most even match of the whole tournament, won in three sets to José A. García Diestro-Tete Señorán. For its part, in the Women's Draw, the triumph corresponded to Cinta García and Paula Josemaría, who beat Verónica Sánchez-Julia Díaz in two sets.

The awards ceremony was chaired by Raquel Bravo, Vice Mayor of Mérida; and Miguel Pizarro, Vice President of FexPádel. The latter wanted to thank the collaboration of Padelmérida and Bullpadel's contribution in prizes.

To finish, it should be noted that the most emotional moment was lived just before the start of the Men's Final ... And that was a public recognition of the four boys who had been proclaimed Victors and Finalists of the Spanish Championship for Minors. Pablo, César, Arturo and Carmen collected a commemorative plaque from their coaches and received widespread applause from the public.

The padel, once again, showed us again that it is more than just a sport.
