In the first of the semifinals of the Women's Team, Lucia Sainz-Marta Ortega gave an exhibition of talent and maturity against Carolina Navarro-Cecilia Reiter, who were defeated by 4-6, 7-5 and 6-3. We do not get tired of saying it but, at his 17 years, the quality, the desire and the drive of Martita make it a real cyclone on the track ... And he can already boast of having qualified for a World Circuit final Paddle Tour !!
The clash began with the two pairs measuring their forces although, in the first game, Carolina Navarro-Cecilia Reiter gave their serve. Very quickly, the favorites brought their experience to light and, not only did they level the contest, they also deployed their best game. With pause, very quiet, they knew how to take the match to their terrain and, with a new break over the service of their rivals, they took the initial sleeve (4-6).
After passing through the bench, Lucía and Marta entered the court without complexes, for all and without containing anything at all that paddle that, until now, had remained self-conscious. They had nothing to lose and, in the blink of an eye, they had a 5-2 lead on the scoreboard ... But not everything would be so easy, Carol and Ceci recovered the disadvantage, they went up 5-5 to the electronic and seemed regain control of the actions ... However, Martita and Lucía never lower their arms and, despite the hard blow they suffered, they continued fighting with all their desire every point and achieved another break that helped them to win the second set by 7 -5.
With everything to decide, the aspirants realized that they had to their reach the great final and, instead of accusing that pressure, they felt with more confidence than ever in their possibilities and, after breaking once again the serve of their adversaries , they made their dream come true and, for the first time in their careers, they will be able to fight to win the title in an appointment of the Professional Circuit.
The other big surprise
Right after, it was Marta Marrero-Cata Tenorio that silenced the audience present in the stands of the Ágora after eliminating Mapi and Majo Sánchez Alayeto for a double 6-4 ... Despite this defeat, the Atomic Twin took the 'prize' to close the 2014 season as new 1 number of the WPT Ranking.
