The fans already count the hours to enjoy, from the 14 to the 17 of December, of a very special tournament. As confirmed by the World Padel Tour, the activity will take place in the 10 Pavilion of the Madrid Exhibition Center (IFEMA) instead of in the 9 Pavilion, as originally planned.

Very soon, the 16 top players in the Men's Ranking and the 16 top ranked Women's Rankings will measure their strength in order to close the campaign by winning a 'different' test and that, for the first time in its history, it will distribute points among its participants, according to the round they reach.
Although initially it was announced that the appointment would take place in the 9 Pavilion, from World Padel Tour They confirmed through their official website that: "The security recommendations issued by the Municipal Police of Madrid regarding the minimum distance between events within IFEMA they motivate the change of location ".
No 'big changes' for fans
As has been learned, Pavilion 10, which is located a few meters from Pavilion 9, is symmetrical and of identical dimensions to the latter, the entrances to both venues being a short distance away. In this sense, the WPT team explained that: "This new location will not affect in any way all those people who have acquired their seats in advance of this exchange."
In the same way, the entrances and entrances to the Pavilion 10 will be indicated to avoid any ambiguity at the time of accessing the premises.

1 .- Sixteen players and many other players
For the first time in the history of this competition, the Female and Male Categories will have the same number of participants. This year, the Girls' Draw will go from 12 to 16 players. With many things still to be decided, all the places will be defined after the Keler Bilbao Open dispute.
2.- No margin for error: Direct eliminations from the start
The usual league format will give way to direct playoffs ... And what is sought with it? Well, very simple: that the encounters are "life or death" from the first moment. The days of Thursday and Friday will each host two matches of the men's and women's quarterfinal round. On Saturday the semifinals will be played and, on Sunday, the two commitments that will crown the new Masters will take place.
3.- If it will be scoring: 1.300 points in play
It may be the biggest novelty ... And it is that never before, the test that closed the intense year of competition had distributed points. According to their scale, the winners will receive 1.300 points, the finalists 760, the semifinalists 470 and those eliminated in the quarterfinals, 235. As stated from the WPT: “This injection of points will give a new dimension to the tournament and may even put in I play number 1 at the end of the season ”.
