Padel World Press .- El Estrella Damm Catalunya Master begins to carbure. After some vibrant rounds of Previews and Pre-Previews, we have already experienced the first matches of the Main Draw with sounded premieres of couples, who began with a firm step in the Circuto World Padel Tour.

After first day starring the return of 'Wizard' Juan Martín Díaz to the courts and the debut of couples like Sanyo Gutiérrez-Maxi Sánchez or Matías Díaz-Ale Galán, on Wednesday 21 in March we were able to enjoy the encounters of the other part of the Male Table. In them, Fernando Belasteguín-Pablo Lima made his debut, along with other outstanding partners of the last campaign, such as Cristian Gutiérrez-Franco Stupaczuk or Lamperti and Mieres. We could also see how some of the 2017 revelation players begin to consolidate and how 'debutant associations' showed that they will give a lot to talk about.

Veteran and novice start stomping on the Estrella Damm Catalunya Master

Lucas Campagnolo and Lucas Bergamini  they were in charge of opening the day in front of Nacho Gadea and Aday Santana, to those who won in three sets (6-3 2-6 and 6-2), which gave a blow of authority and confirmed that they have gone from promise to reality. The Brazilians displayed an aggressive and dominant padel and were planted in eighth.

For its part, it should be noted that in the last engagement of the morning two couples with great projection met: Maxi Grabiel-Pablo Lijó and Marcello Jardim-Agustín Tapia. Duplas premiere that gave us a game with alternatives and full of good game, dominated by Lijó and Grabiel at the beginning, who made good their chances and won the first set, but ended up taking the combination of veteran and nerve of Jardim and Tapia. The very young Argentine, one of the most promising shovels of the Circuit, qualified for the first time for the knockout stages of a great tournament, evidencing that it is a talent to take into account.

In the afternoon, the giants entered the scene Miguel Lamperti-Juani Mieres, who opened their participation in the World Padel Tour in front of Maty Marina-Germán Tamame. Commando Bahía Blanco started strong, taking the first set on the fast track (6 / -2) but in the next they were surprised by a break by Marina and Taname, which led to the tables being placed on the scoreboard (4-6 ). Equality reigned in the final set but the experience of Miguel and Juani ended up tilting the balance in their favor (6-4).

The second shock of the afternoon shift offered us the great match of the day. Cristian Gutiérrez-Franco Stupaczuk they faced the new alliance formed by Lucho Capra and Ramiro Moyano In a competed and intense contest that made it clear to us that the seconds can give more than one scare. For starters, they beat the 4 number of the Paddle World Ranking in two sets (6 / 3 and 6 / 4).

To finish they arrived at the Olympic Pavilion of Badalona the number 1, Fernando Belasteguín and Pablo Lima, who faced Javier Escalante and Jordi Muñoz. Demonstrating why they are the best, they solved their first game on the fast track, demonstrating absolute dominance on the track. Double 6-1 and they are already eighth.

At Club Barberá Padel Indoor the other two matches of the round of sixteenths were played, in which the pairs Uri Botello-Javi Ruíz and Peter Alonso-Aris Patiniotis they went round to beat Seba Nerone-José Antonio García Diestro (7-6 and 6-3) and Rafa Méndez-Diego Ramos (6-3 and 6-4).
