The Spanish participants in this first assault of the male category measured their strengths in the selection of United States to which they won with a forceful 3-0. The children Emilio Sánchez and Ismael Rodríguez got a double 6-0 against their rivals. In the cadet category, Eduardo Alonso and Iván Ramírez had more difficulties in a first set that closed by 6-3 to finish signing an 6-0 in the second.
