There were no great surprises ... The desired and desired semis will be played !! The fans present in the stands of the Palacio de los Deportes José María Martín Carpena were able to enjoy an exciting day of quarters, in which the main heads of the series took a step forward.
Padel World Press .- The show, the tension and the equality were the most outstanding notes of an exciting day of competition, in which vibrant duels were lived. In the end, the members of the first four pairs of the Ranking put their respective roles and qualified for a round of semi-finals that promises to be exciting.
Maybe the most intense clash of quarters was the one that closed the day. In it, Paquito Navarro-Matías Díaz took the first set in the tie break but, then, their rivals leveled the contest after scoring a second high voltage sleeve (5-7). In the third, fatigue took its toll on Miguel Lamperti-Tito Allemandi who, after three hours and 20 minutes on the track, ended up losing by 7-6, 5-7 and 6-4.
The seeds number 3 already know that their next rivals will be Fernando Belasteguín-Pablo Lima. The current leaders of the WPT Ranking gave a lesson in authority and beat Maxi Grabiel-Ramiro Moyano (6-3 and 6-0) by the fast track.
For their part, Juan Martín Díaz and Maxi Sánchez continued to play at an excellent level. Both are determined to reach in Malaga what would be their second final in their second tournament as a couple and, for the moment, they are on the right track. They demonstrated this with a great victory against Aday Santana-Willy Lahoz (6-3 and 6-2).
The last step you must take to make your goal come true will not be easy. In semis they will have to play the 'Partido del Morbo' as they will face their former teammates: Juani Mieres and Sanyo Gutiérrez also failed and eliminated by 6-2 and 6-1 Cristian Gutiérrez-Agustín Gómez Silingo.
Everything is arranged so that on Saturday, 01 in August and from 19: 00 hours, there will be two commitments in which emotion is assured.
The order of play will be as follows:
19: 00 hours: Juan Martín Díaz-Maxi Sánchez vs. Juani Mieres-Sanyo Gutiérrez.
21: 00 hours: Fernando Belasteguín-Pablo Lima vs. Paquito Navarro-Matías Díaz.
