The facilities of the Palma Raquet Club welcomed the dispute of a tournament in which something more than simple veterans demonstrated their skills with the shovel in their hands. The show was huge in an appointment that had a high influx of public.
Padel World Press .- The popular club of Palma de Mallorca became the headquarters of the Spanish Championship of Teams of Veterans of 3ª Category, an event in which more than 300 players participated on behalf of 18 teams (Male and Female).
As expected, the competition was very close and all the eliminations were decided by small details. With some teams dedicated to their goal of achieving the 2 asce ascension, the players did not hesitate to bring out the best shots of their respective repertoires, which led to numerous actions that attracted the applause of fans who came to enjoy the encounters
Although the threat of rain was constant, the weather decided to respect the tournament and all the matches took place normally, much to the delight of organizers, participants and supporters.
The great winners of this event were:
Male Category:
- Champions: Club Tennis Barcino.
- Subchampions: Tennis 5 Paddle Indoor.
Women Category:
- Champions: Real Club de Tennis Barcelona 1899.
- Runners-up: Palma Pádel.
The four teams made their goal a reality and, in 2015, they will be in 2ª División. For its part, the rest must wait a year to try to achieve their dream.
Note that the award ceremony was chaired by Javier Morente, Director General of Sports of the Government of the Balearic Islands; Francisco Sanz, President of the Balearic Federation of Pádel; José María Hoyos, Vice President of the Balearic Federation; and Carli Mora, director of the Club.
