Padel World Press .- The beautiful municipality of the Comarca de la Plana Alta, closely linked to the world of sports and which has the golfer Sergio García as one of its main ambassadors, is already wearing its best clothes to host one of the most anticipated events for its inhabitants season after season.

Recognized tourist destination for many Spaniards, it stands out for its excellent beaches and it has more than 10 kilometers of coastline, bathed by the Mediterranean Sea. If we had to review a few, it could be said that its best known beaches are Serradal, Gurugú and El Pinar.

Throughout the history of this sport, Torre Bellver, Oropesa, Benicassim and Castellón have hosted important international paddle tournaments as well as the place of residence of some of the best players in the world, Carolina Navarro and Paula Eyheraguibel, is the last still rooted in that area.

Being a city of the Valencia Community, it was clear that rice could not be missing from their tables ... Paella, arroz a banda or arroz caldoso are the three most important dishes, without forgetting the typical fideuá.

Cradle of great athletes

At present, there is no doubt that the golfer Sergio García is the most renowned athlete from Castellón. Born in the town of Borriol, he has always been the best 'ambassador' of Castellón to all corners of the world. It is not a secret that the 'Niño' is a great fan of paddle tennis and, on numerous occasions, he has shared a track with professionals such as Paula Eyheraguibel and Carolina Navarro.

Juan Antonio Orenga, a former basketball player and current coach of the Spanish national basketball team, is also from this country; and Gaizka Mendieta, former footballer of Valencia among other teams.

One of the great weeks of Castellón is here! In it, the paddle and its great stars will be the main protagonists ...

We can only say ... Enjoy the Game !!!!
