The great Galician player has shared with Padel World Press readers how he has lived 'from within' his time at the 11th European Championship. Semifinalist in the test for National Couples and winner in the Team Tournament with the Spanish National Team, the Santa Uxía de Ribeira dreams of returning to repeat in future international events.

Padel World Press .- Saturday, November 18, was the big day… The final arrived. At 17:30 p.m. in Portugal (18: 30 in Spain) we had to play the fight for the title. Before we had been encouraging the girls, who played and achieved victory against the same rivals as us: the Portuguese National Team.

I think something in the Friday lunch made me feel bad and I spent the whole Saturday with my stomach turned upside down and not eating anything ... But it was the day of the final so you had to tighten the nuts.

When Jon García-Ariño gave the line-up I was very calm because I would have to play point 3 and that would mean that my teammates would have the option of closing the tie in the first 2 games… And that is what happened. When we had to jump onto the court, the tie was already decided: we were 2-0 on the scoreboard.

The atmosphere of the celebrations was great, both boys and girls. We finished, we took a quick shower and the team went out to celebrate. I, unfortunately, had to stay at the hotel because I had a fever and I did not feel well at all.

By the way, on Friday at the Casino we came out positive… So what more could you ask for? Hahaha.

I hope you have enjoyed my experience that I hope it can be repeated in the coming years. And thanks to Oscar for counting on me for this Diary.

Greetings to all!

Pablo Lijó.
