Padel World Press .- Today I have a great challenge and that is to write to you from the plane. I have a lot of respect for flying so the task has even more merit, hehehe. Today I woke up at 06:45 in the morning. Yes, at that time and quite a short time before the final (actually the ideal is to wake up 3 hours before) because the meeting had been brought forward at 09:00 ... It is something that I still do not understand very well. I do not understand that the final of a World Cup is played at that time and unless it is not televised on any national television ... Anyway ...
We went down to breakfast and from there the 4 players in the van went to the track. You already know the result: we lost 6-2 and 6-3 against a super-solid and very busy Patty and Eli. They deserved their victory and a great tournament on our part… Who was going to say that we were going to get into the final when we started the week. We had some very tough duels in both the quarters and the semis, in which we could have been out. However, we managed to overcome them and plant ourselves in the title fight clash.
After the boys' final was played and the Trophy Delivery Ceremony took place ... First the medals of the competition were distributed by Teams, where we all received our medal and where, in the case of the girls, the Spanish anthem sounded (proud and excited). Right afterwards there was the award ceremony of the World Cup for National Couples, followed by photos with followers, for the media, selfies with other players, autographs ... I even had some time to escape to be a little while with my family, who had come to see me from Malaga.
We decided to eat a little rice from the land, with views of a golf course ... From there, directly to the airport and at the moment, thousands of km high, writing my diary. The truth is that this World Championship has been a very nice experience. I have defended my country for the sixth time and, in addition, I have played with Martita in the Couples event. At 17 years old, he will never cease to amaze me with his great level.
From now on, I return to activity with my colleague Ceci Reiter, whom I want to have by my side again. In two weeks Valencia will be playing and, therefore, we will have to prepare it to the full. On a personal level, I should note that I have had very good feelings. You can see that Rodri Ovide's hand is taking effect and, little by little, we are noticing it in tournaments. I think it's very good news that both Ceci and I, with different teammates, have gotten into semis… We're on the right track !!
Here ends this World Cup and, at the same time, the illusion begins to prepare with Ceci the Open 2015 World Championship, which will be held next year in Miami
About to go to sleep, I have to add our arrival to Barajas ... There my friend Vane was waiting for me in his car, which ran out of battery and we had to push him running all over the T2 to the twins, Jordi el fisio and me ... Hahaha!! How we were not exhausted enough ...
