Padel World Press .- Paddle is a very young sport, but one that is constantly evolving. Those of us who have spent more time in this can see how all these changes have been taking place. From the materials of the blades, from the wood to the rubber and increasing the thickness to the current 38mm, to the slopes, evolving from the wall with tennisquick to the turf glass courts and three meters.

The regulation itself has been adapted to the changes in the facilities, materials and needs of the competition itself. Therefore, the game could not be alien to all this and changes from one year to the next. Simply the change of the type of balls causes that it is played with different speed. In the last two years we have gone from a game in which a tray was not seen and the aggressive game prevailed, where the direct shot and the three were the protagonists, to a game in which the elaboration of the point is again something very necessary, and all determined by the fact that the track can be slower, by the balls, by a higher lawn or with more or less sand and all this makes that it begins to play again with trays and vipers.

Until a few years ago it was not played off the track and now it is better to hit hard than to get it out because almost all players are able to get off the track and earn the point. In the same way, we understand that teaching evolves and that both at the level of initiation and professional level, neither is taught the same nor is it trained in the same way. One of the phrases that we hear the most when we go through the clues of the school of any club is the one of "put aside", along with the classic "look at the ball", as if the student was with his eyes closed. We have examples of evolution of the blows, the famous tray was a blow that at first was not made, as the tray evolved the viper, and also new ways to execute the most classic or basic hits like the 'Right'.

For many years, and even in most schools, the right-wing blow is taught by setting aside completely. In M3 we have been teaching a variant of this positioning for several years and we think that the semi-open position is more advantageous for its execution. We consider this because what is really important in the preparation of the blows are the rotations, that is, the position of the shoulders and hips and not so much that the feet are in line as this ultimately produces a hip block that does not allow a transfer of the appropriate weight to continue the play.

Therefore, we understand that the technique is at the service of the game, that we have to be more effective and that we must try to make the movements easier and adapted to the situations of the matches. In short, what we all want is to play games and, if it can be, in addition, to win them. Our experience of all these years, with infinity of players from Pros to amateurs, is that this position clearly improves our game and is the trend towards which the padel evolves.

This experience of so many years working with so many players of all levels and ages is what has led us to have our own methodology of teaching the padel with the method that we teach to the technicians in the courses and certifications we teach.

In the next article we will talk about the handles, which logically is related to the above described. For the moment, we anticipate that what we propose is a little out of the standard procedure.
