Poco después to be re-elected as President of the International Paddle Federation We had the opportunity to talk with Daniel Patti, who told us how the FIP Assembly had gone, in which the components of the new Board of Directors were confirmed.

Padel World Press .- Excited by the challenge of being able to prolong his project for the next four years, the Italian hopes to continue fulfilling the road map he drew when he arrived at the position and explained in more detail in recent articles that we published shortly before the beginning of the XIIIth World Championship by National Teams.

Satisfied for having received the support of the Affiliated Federations to continue developing his work at the head of the FIP, he told us: "The Assembly of the International Federation has developed in a very calm and coherent way with the objectives that each of the leaders I had to participate in it. It lasted almost five hours and we can say that it was brief since we remember others that lasted almost two days. From it we can say that it was excellent because we saw a great maturation on the part of all the leaders, who have realized what are the important things to focus on and, above all, because the preparation of the Assembly was done as never before, in a very complete and meticulously prepared in every detail. It was the first time in 25 that we led the Assembly guided by a Power Point that will be uploaded on our official website so that everyone understands what was discussed, the points faced and the possibilities that were presented. The sending of documents in advance is something foreseen by our Statutes, but I must admit that it was the first time they were sent in full so that each Associate Member could control them and discuss them with their own directors to take their idea or position to the Assembly. "

And what would you highlight of that meeting? Without a doubt, the growth that this sport has been experiencing in recent years: “In this Assembly we have taken a step forward in several ways. We will publish a report shortly in which you will be able to see all the work that the IFJ Board has done in these four years. It has been a 'shadow work', for many, but now it allows us to say that we have had a growth of more than 500% with respect to the number of players who were in the Ranking in 2012. We have also exceeded 500% in the number of tournaments that were previously in the International Federation Calendar. In 2013 there were 10; now there are 58 and we continue to grow. In turn, we have increased the number of affiliated countries by 47%, from 18 to 28, with 10 new applications on the table that will be incorporated in the next few days. It cannot be ignored that we have multiplied by five the number of Meetings of the Board of Directors that had been held in the last four years of the previous Board (19 times the current 98) ... All those data that were still unknown have presented to the leaders and, as is logical, no one has been able to do anything other than congratulate and thank the work done ”.

On the next most important events of the FIP Calendar he revealed: "Another very important point in our Assembly has been to be able to present the venue of the next World Championship, which will be Paraguay. On next year's European, say that either we will return to Portugal or we will go to Finland and, with respect to the World Championship for Minors, we will highlight that it will be played in Spain. Of the South American Absolute, to indicate that it will take place in Chile, and the Open World, in Rome. Having had the opportunity and the satisfaction of giving all this news in the Assembly, being able to reveal that the most important competitions have had candidates and can be confirmed with dates and cities, has been an immense joy and a tranquility for all ".

When talking about the news of the Board of Directors, he said: "With respect to the elections, each Candidate for the Board of Directors has presented himself. I had it very easy because I was the only candidate for the Presidency. Among the new members of the Board of Directors we have a Belgian, Alexandre Pavy, and the Spanish Pere Hernández i Ripoll, President of the Catalan Federation and Member of the Spanish Federation. I thank Óscar Nicastro for his friendship, his work and contributions in the previous Boards of Directors ".
