Our teammate Daniel Gamarra Peñalver keeps us close to the young promises of the Spanish paddle. On this occasion, he will talk about a player with a lot of present ... And future.

Padel World Press .- I barely had 5 years when Cristina started playing paddle tennis at her longtime club: NovoPádel. At that time, as her mother confessed, this 'baby player' went off the track on several occasions during classes.

Later, at the age of 9, Cris decided to take this sport more seriously and began to compete. Thus began his path in what little by little would end up becoming one of the pillars that currently govern his day to day.

At present, Cris keeps her illusion for paddle intact since, as she told us, she is one of those players who love what she does.

Superstitious on the track, always get the first one. As regards the 'traps' or little sports practices, your tolerance is 0. Cheerful, affable but very competitive, when she thinks that she has been tricked at some point, her face becomes very serious.

Hardworking and disciplined, she trains under the orders of Carlos Pozzoni and Chema Batalla, without neglecting the physical part, in which she follows the indications of the prestigious physical trainer Álex Jordan.

To know more details about Cristina, nothing better than talking to one of her trainers ... And what did Carlos Pozzoni tell us about her? As he highlighted: “Cristina is a fairly easy girl to get along with, as she has a good temperament and is always willing to listen to improve. It is super competitive. If he enters the track it is to win; does not understand another philosophy. She has the character of a champion ”.

Regarding his game, Pozzoni assured that both he and Chema are trying to get Cris to improve his game at the net, to be more offensive and to improve his shots from half court onwards. "In defense, Cris is a real star, since that is where he works most easily. If you had to choose your best shot, it would certainly be the right one. It is a devastating blow. "

Together with Cristina Carrascosa, they form a duo that is already known as 'Las Cristinas'. Those who have had the opportunity to see them play, among whom we are, do not take long to see that if individually they are two very good players, when they get together they grow a lot, they become better and good sample of their rapport is the good results obtained in 2015, when they were proclaimed Champions of Spain and the World in Children's Category.

This couple is performing so well in their new category (Cadet), that in this 2016 decided to play the Leane Republic Space Junior Open in the Junior Table and, most surprising, is that they won it.

Off the track, Cristina is a girl who likes to go to the movies and spend time with her family and friends. She also has another hobby, skiing, since from a very young age she has gone to Andorra for a week every year to practice what is one of her favorite hobbies.

To finish, Cris wanted to show his gratitude to the Adidas brand, as the prestigious firm has endowed him with great discipline and responsibility, helping to keep his feet on the ground at all times.

Step by step, match by match, the character of a great champion is being forged.
