Padel World Press .- If we travel to coastal areas this summer, we must avoid playing the same day we arrived, to let our body acclimate to new temperatures and humidity. In turn, we will also have to avoid playing our games at the hottest times of the day: from 12: 00 to 17: 00 hours.

We must hydrate continuously, including breaks during the meeting. If it is a more intense shock, it must be taken into account that We will have to start hydration from the previous night.

On the other hand, let's not forget to feed ourselves correctly. It is advisable not to make copious meals before the commitment and it would be interesting to try to contribute fruit rich in sugars a couple of hours before the competition.

We must also warm up in summer. We will get warm, especially with joint movement, to finish, once the game is over, performing a normal series of stretches with all the muscles affected by the game's demand.

It is very important not to forget the application of sunscreen, as we would do in the pool or on the beach. It is a direct exposure to the sun for about an hour and a half per encounter. There are special sun creams for athletes that increase the sensation of freshness and maintain their effectiveness despite sweating.

On hotter days it is preferable that you choose a breathable and light colored dress.

In short, listen to your body. Symptoms such as cramps, severe fatigue, dizziness, cold skin and sweat, send us a signal to stop immediately, rest and hydrate.

The care of the material

The high temperatures suffered by the ground, the walls and the glass of the track make the balls increase their speed and the boat is faster, forcing our movements with more acceleration.

The blade can hold up to 50ºC, but the heat affects the rubber considerably. It is essential that we do not leave the blades in the sun or in a place subject to high temperatures, such as, for example, the trunk of the car. The softest or soft rubber blades are the ones that most accuse the heat.

In turn, it would be advisable to renew the grip more frequently so that the grip of the blade is correct. Grips with a rougher texture will hold more matches.

Another tip: If your hands sweat more in the coastal area, you can evaluate the option of using magnesium, gels or resin to minimize that sweat. The use of wristbands helps sweat that falls through the arm does not reach your hands.

We will have to check the cord of our shovel before starting each match. We all know how important it is for the wrist paddle to not escape during the game.

Although we are playing on beach sites, with friends, and it is a less demanding padel, we can not forget that footwear is fundamental. Let's always play with specific shoes for that sport.

Following these tips will make us enjoy more of our favorite sport throughout the summer.
