A title that definitely fits the year of which, in all likelihood, is the fashion couple in the world paddle after an excellent season where they have managed to monopolize all the spotlights.

And it is that Rico and Nieto have managed to take the title of champions of Spain after a tournament to frame in which they have demonstrated their great state of form not having yielded a single set in their confrontations.

Solbes-Zaratiegui, Rubio-Santana and Gil-Morales they had been their rivals until Sunday's big date and in all of them they had confirmed their favorite couple role to the title that, in addition, they would endorse in the final.

A final that they were going to win before the revelation pair of this Spanish Paddle Championship. Oria and Arroyo had managed to get rid of Galán-Lebrón in the quarterfinals and Diestro-Garrido in the semifinals, but they couldn't put the icing on their big tournament.
