The days continue. Every time we need less for Jon Garcia Ariño reveals the name of the members of the Spanish Men's and Women's Team that will represent our country in the XII World Championship for Couples and National Teams ... From the Spanish Federation they continue to show us their interviews with the preselected ones.

Padel World Press .- And, in this new installment, it's time to get to know Alvaro Cepero, a young talent who defended the colors of the national team in Minor Category twice: Buenos Aires 2007 and Sevilla 2009.

The Cádiz-born man still fondly remembers those experiences, which he described as impressive, and he was very excited about the opportunity to be part of the 'Absolute'.

What does it mean for you to be shortlisted and to be able, in the case of being selected, to be part of the Spanish National Team?

Obviously, a pride and a privilege. On the other hand, it also involves recognition of the player's progress and sporting evolution. For an athlete, being part of the National Team of the sport he practices is the most he can aspire to in his sporting career.

The padel continues to grow and there is an increasing level ... What do you expect from this World Cup? What is your forecast?

The padel continues to grow and the level is increasing, not only in Spain but in other countries. You just have to see how difficult Pre-Pre-Pre and Pre-World Padel Tour Circuit matches are and what it costs to get into the Final Draw. Of the World Cup, what I hope is that it becomes the parade party par excellence. The best players in the world representing their countries will meet. My prediction is clear: I bet on Spain as Champion in both Men's and Women's, although, of course, we must recognize that Argentina will be the most difficult opponent to beat in both categories.
You have already participated in a World Cup, how was that experience?

I have had the fortune and privilege of being part of the Spanish Children's Team that represented our country in the 2007 World Cup in Buenos Aires and the 2009 World Championship in Seville. That was impressive, from the moment you are selected until it ends. Imagine what it has to be in the case of the Absolute!
Getting to play at this very high level is not easy. Who has supported you in your career?

My family has always supported me since I was in the Children's Circuit, especially my parents and brother and now also my partner. What to say about the coaches I've had like Alfonso Cristobal, Mauricio Grandes, Miguel Sciorilli, Jorge Martinez and the current one, Rodrigo Ovide. I have to have a special mention for Juanjo Gutiérrez, who was like a second father to me when, with 18 years, I only came to Madrid to study and train. He cared for me at all times and I will never forget that. Thank my sponsors and sponsors, without whom my professional sports life would be impossible. In particular, Padelmania and Mystica; without forgetting others like Wilson, Padelgest, Padel Terres del Ebre, Copiería Las Cortes, Six Padel Indoor Aranjuez, Club Cerrado del Águila and D12 Physiotherapy. Finally, I would like to thank Miguel Barbany who is the one who currently represents and advises me, Borja Carabias, my physical trainer, and Óscar Lorenzo, my sports psychologist.
