Padel World Press .- Last September, news shook the Women's Circuit ... And it is that Ceci Reiter confirmed that an untimely injury (complete rupture of the hamstring and semitendinosus tendon) would have her off the tracks until the 2021 season. Without a doubt, it was hard beat him up but, once again, the brilliant Argentine player once again showed her claw, her courage and her boundless positivity.

In an interesting chat with his colleagues StarVie, the brand that sponsors it, Ceci confessed: “It is never easy for an athlete to be away for so long and, in my particular case, it is the first time that I have to go through a situation like this. The truth is that at first the shock was quite strong but, As the hours and days went by, I assimilated my reality and began to think positively. Regarding my rehabilitation, I would have to say that it started the same moment I left the operating room. Although there is still not much I can do these first weeks, perhaps they are the most important for my final recovery to be successful ”.

When explaining what this rehabilitation will consist of, he explained: “At the moment I go week by week according to the deadlines and indications that my doctor, Dr. Manuel Leyes, is setting. I take this opportunity to thank not only for the professional part, but for his human qualities towards me. He will be the one who will mark the script to follow although I suppose that first we will have to regain normal mobility of the leg and gradually strengthen because, in these weeks of rest, I have lost all the muscle mass that I had. As I mentioned before, I am being very positive and feeling very encouraged. I'm not going to deny that there are specific moments when I get down a bit, but thank God, they are the least. I consider myself an optimistic person and that is helping me to carry it in the best possible way ”.

Born competitor, I would rather be on the court because she has a very hard time watching the games 'from the sidelines': “It's worse to be off the court. You suffer much more and have more nerves, haha. I miss my day to day. The workouts, my routine, being in motion. My life took a turn from one day to the next. Now I have a lot of free time, I'm at home all day and I miss being out. But I try to see the positive side and see it as a forced vacation. "

Despite his energy and optimism, Ceci Reiter there are things that are being hard for him such as: “Relying on someone to be able to move and do everything. That's what I wear the worst. I am very restless, even at home, and seeing myself so dependent makes me a little nervous at times. But I have to understand that it is key to my recovery to strictly respect these first weeks. I think it is still too early to talk about the learning that this will leave me with. But I am convinced that I will learn a lot and that it will make me even stronger. At the moment I can say that I am valuing a lot of things from day to day that I took for granted and that I really miss being able to do today ”.

With a lot of desire to get back on the slopes, he is already thinking about his goals for 2021: “Well, fundamentally, to be able to start 100% and enjoy my profession again. Today that is the only thing I think about and I cannot set myself any other challenge than complete recovery and my return to competition.".

And surely you will get it, friend ... We still have a lot to enjoy your passion for paddle tennis.
