Padel World Press .- In the last days, coinciding with the Tourism Fair that was held in Madrid (FITUR), the authorities of Melilla and Alicante confirmed that this year they will become the headquarters of two World Padel Tour Circuit events.

In the case of the Autonomous City, it should be noted that, for the first time in its history, it will enter the WPT Calendar and it will hosting a Challenger to be held from the 25 from June to the 01 in July. For its part, Alicante will not miss its appointment with the great stars of this sport and will vibrate with an Open that will take place in the first week of April. The objective of its organizers is to overcome the barrier of the amateur 20.000 in total.

Along with these two appointments, it should not be overlooked that at the end of 2017 two other venues were already made official: Jaén and Mijas. The first one, like Melilla, will make its debut in World Padel Tour. We will have to wait until May for the best players in the world to show all their talent in the emblematic Plaza de Santa María, next to the Cathedral.

As Javier Márquez, Mayor of the Andalusian city, pointed out in his day: "The tournament will take place together with the best heritage of this city. It will be a great event that will put Jaén in the elite circuit of this sport, which is one of the most practiced in our country. The passage of World Padel Tour will have an economic impact of about two million euros and, to make this dream come true, we had to work a lot because there were several cities that were betting to be the headquarters of the WPT. Jaén and the Jaén deserve to have top-level sporting events, as happens with other cities such as Granada, Seville, Malaga, Bilbao, Lisbon or Miami. "

Mijas, a city dedicated to sport

The locality of the Costa del Sol, as in 2017, will repeat in the WPT Calendar. Last season he enjoyed a great Open, full of surprises, which delighted both the fans who followed the activity from the stands as well as the spectators who did not miss a single detail through Live Streaming.

Recently, in an interview granted to The Opinion of Málaga, Juan Carlos Maldonado, Mayor of Mijas, confirmed the commitment of his city to sport: "Throughout this 2018 we will host high level events such as World Padel Tour, the Tour of Spain or the Tour of Andalusia".

In this way, Melilla, Alicante, Jaén and Mijas would have to add international headquarters already confirmed as Bastad (Sweden), Buenos Aires and Andorra, that together with Zaragoza or Valladolid, begin to outline a campaign in which emotion will be assured.

The show does not stop and we can only say ... Enjoy the Game !!!
