How do you feel after having proclaimed Spain's champions by teams of 1ª Absolute Category?

Carolina Navarro: "Very happy. The truth is that it is a special title because it is a weekend in which you are with those who, in general, are your rivals. It has been very exciting to be able to win the Spanish Championship. "

Mapi S. Alayeto: "This year has been different because both Majo and I have changed teams after spending many seasons at the Real Zaragoza Tennis Club. It has been a special triumph because we played the final against them. We are very happy because it is our fourth title in a row. "

What feelings did you have when traveling to Alicante?

CN: "The reality is that I was coming from some adductor discomfort and I was quite worried ... I had to test the first day I played and I couldn't know if I would be fit or not. So on the one hand I was in a tremendous illusion and, on the other, quite overwhelmed since I didn't know if I was going to be able to compete. At the end, when I got on the track I saw that I was fine so I really wanted to give everything for the team ”.

MSA: “A different year, with a new team and different teammates. It is true that we all know each other because we are rivals for the rest of the year… But this time it has been a few days to live with them and the truth is that we really wanted to… We wanted to compete because the preseason is long ”.

What time would you highlight the tournament?

CN: "To me, what I liked the most outside of the sporting part, beyond winning, has been the union as a team that we have had. Despite being composed of practically the best players among the top ten, at no time has there been any personal ego or anything. We have been a pineapple and we have been super united as a team. The truth is that we are very different players of character and everything but it has been a spectacular weekend ".

MSA: "The final. Going 2-0 up in the tie but having the other three games in the third set put excitement into the tie… We were all there supporting the teammates. When Carol and Ceci finished, and then Marrero, it was the culmination ”.

On an individual level, what does this Championship mean to you?

CN: "Each title is different. For me it is very important to start the year with a title of Champion of Spain for Teams. I feel happiness and a motivation to start the season to the fullest. "

MSA: "There are four consecutive titles in the Spanish Championship for Teams, both Majo and me. I think few players can say it. The fact of starting this year, with good feelings on the track, gives us confidence and we are very happy ".
