Matías Díaz-Maxi Sánchez, our teammate Daniel Gamarra, was able to speak with the current 1 number of the world as soon as they finished their hard semi-final match, in which they had to surrender to the maximum. How would you rate your performance in the match? What do you expect from the grand final?

Padel World Press .- It was expected a great show in the commitment that would close the semis day and, of course, that was what happened. The fans that gathered in the Plaza Mayor of Valladolid could enjoy a real match, in which Bela and Lima knew how to suffer to defeat by 7-6 and 6-4 to their rivals.

Do not miss this interview at the foot of the track that Daniel Gamarra made the great player of Pehuajó.

How do you rate your performance in the semifinal match?

Well ... I think they were the ones who dominated the match since in the tactical section they made us enter their game, they raised a framework, a very intelligent tactical spider web and we fell into it. Luckily the tie break fell on our side but I think that, in general terms, it was Matías and Maxi who felt more comfortable during the match.

What were the keys to the crash?

I think the key was that the tie break of the first set fell on our side. That gave us more confidence for the rest of the game. Regarding the second round, I think the key was in the equal 4-4 ... We threw very high balloons and we were able to gain the initiative in the net in the decisive points.

What do you expect from the final?

Win the last point, hahaha. On Sunday we wait for some very tough Paquito and Sanyo. They are two players with spectacular talent, so we will have to counteract that talent with our solvency of the game… If we played by hand and shooting, they would beat us out.

Do you think the Circuit is more equal than ever?

Yes, there are a lot of young guys who are playing very well and who are achieving very good results this season. I personally like this a lot because I am an advocate that players have more and more opportunities… That is something that is later reflected in the show from the first round, which is very beneficial for the sport.

How do you rate your performance as a couple so far this season?

Well, let's see, I think we have identified well what we needed. Before we were not very clear about it, but since Horacio's arrival, we have recovered our clarity, so we only worry about hitting the ball. We are happy but we will see if on Sunday we can make the best game of the year and of the tournament. It would be very good for us.

Do you feel loved by the public?

A lot… At the end of the matches there are a lot of people who always come up to us and ask us for a photo or an autograph, which I personally love, so I don't worry much about that. If they didn't ask me, I'd start to worry.

People often support the team that earns the least so sometimes they don't support me. But, to be honest, I want this to continue to happen to me because if it does, I am lucky to continue winning. It seems to me very good that the fans support one or the other. What I would like is for them to understand that, for us, paddle tennis is not leisure. This 20 × 10 track is our daily work, so we have to leave our soul at every point.

What has Horacio contributed to you since your arrival?

Horacio, since his arrival, has transmitted his experience to us and has taught us to be a much more thoughtful couple. I consider myself a very open-minded person, so I would love to continue learning things from him. That is why I hope that Horacio does not tire of us too quickly so that he can continue helping us for a long time.
