"- The first SANE shovel, so that everyone has an idea of what they were like at that moment, was a body and was united in the heart. The handle was on one side, the head on the other, and both pieces were joined by a bolt. The big difference with respect to the rest of shovels of that time was that its inner core was of Rubber EVA. The frame was made of wood and was composed of that wood and an aluminum profile. The thickness of the blade was 11 millimeters and the rubber was very compact. From there, until reaching the tubular frames, several years passed.

- Authorized by Matías Díaz, I can tell this anecdote. I go back to a trip of 1.600 kilometers between Rosario and Porto Alegre back in 1.998, on a date when it was very common for us to travel to play tournaments in southern Brazil. During the journey, Matías did not stop complaining about the discomfort of the car in which we were going and, in addition to being very small for the five people who were traveling (two pairs of players and me), he had to carry a Gaby Reca poster that we were going to use as a marketing element in the club where the test was held. Poor Mati had it all the way on his head, bothering him and, as he said over and over again, without letting him move his neck.

- SANE was also the first brand to innovate with the use of polyethylene FOAM, which is a plastic elastomer, similar to traditional EVA rubber, but which is achieved in lower densities. When the blades began to have more and more thickness, their use was very important to ensure that they had inside materials that gave them less weight. We actually used it with the Hybrid Core, where the FOAM was used on the inside while it had EVA on the outside. The hybrid shovel was an invention that gave very good results but the use of polyethylene as Total Core was something that never convinced us ... Another Argentine brand, Dabber, did decide to use that Total Core, with which it was very successful. among fans. That made us realize our failure for not using full FOAM cores. Today, complete polyethylene cores are still used, even cross-linked polyethylene, without bubbles (as were the first ones), which continue to offer very good results.

- The Puma Catline model, which was the one used by Fernado Belasteguín for three years (when he was already number 1 and just before signing for HEAD), is the current one Number One by SANE. Our firm's own mold, we used it at that time for Puma and for the number 1 in the world ... Hence its name today, 'Number One', in clear homage and allusion to what was the weapon that it accompanied for several seasons to a genius like Bela.
