He barely had 8 years when he decided to start playing paddle tennis after having taken his first steps in the world of tennis, on the slopes of the Altea Tennis Club. Now, considered one of the promises of the national padel, he hopes to continue enjoying the tracks with his shovel Viper in their hands.

Padel World Press .- The fondness of his parents for this sport, the great connection he felt with the paddle since he took a shovel for the first time, made Andrea decide to put aside the racket to start enjoying a discipline that she knew she was I was going to give very well.

Our colleague Daniel Gamarra wanted to talk to this 'great little player', who hopes to give much to talk about.

With what age did you compete for the first time? What was your first tournament won?

My first tournament won was a tennis tournament, the 'Murray Cup' in Alicante ... But if we talk about my sports stage in paddle tennis, it would be the Spanish Runner-up with Cristina Carrascosa, when we were both 9 years old ... I think it all started hahahaha.

How many days do you train a week? How are your training sessions divided?

I train 4 days a week physically at the David Ferrer School, 'ATF'. My physical trainer is Jaume Ros. I do the technical part of paddle tennis under the orders of Nela Brito, who I consider my older sister. Not only do I train with her, we also have a great friendship. I spend a lot of time talking to her and her brother Carlos Brito. Thanks to this I can say that I manage the sport much better because their help has helped me to improve a lot in psychology, tactics, technique ...

What kind of player are you? How would you define yourself?

Aggressive and brave but, luckily, every day I have more patience thanks in part to my coaches, who have been all, except one, Argentines ... They always tell me "the pausita Andrea, the pausita"….

What goals have you set for this new season?

My goal for this year is to continue playing Minors like all these years. In September we will have the always desired Spanish Championship. However, I think that from now on I will begin to prioritize more in the Absolutes since in the Championships in which I have participated I have achieved good results. Thanks to these results I was able to fulfill one of my dreams, to play the WPT Master of Valencia, in which I managed to reach the final pass of the Preview.

How do you manage to combine your studies with professional sports?

For some years now I have had to make great efforts but I think that with a good organization everything works out perfectly ... But if it is true that it will be years of effort and work, although good, it is what I have chosen, what I like, so I delighted.

What does a young pádel promise aspire to like you? What are your dreams?

The truth is that since I was little I have been clear about it: I want to be a professional paddle tennis player but, at the same time, get a career out of it. I like Languages, so I'll go for that branch. I speak three, English, Spanish and German. But I am also very clear that I do not want to enter the world of work at 21 or 22. I want to go little by little with everything, with paddle tennis and my studies, game by game.

How are you out of a paddle court? What do you like to do?

Honestly, I am quite different outside than on the track since inside I seem unfriendly and strong of character… But it is because I am very competitive and a perfectionist, I take things very seriously. However, outside I am another person, much more cheerful and less serious, hahaha ... Or at least, that's what my friends tell me.

What is your happiest memory related to paddle tennis? Best moments in this sport ...

I have many happy memories, of which I remember very well. I have also had bad times, from which I forget as quickly as possible.

Any hobby or curiosity that you have in the practice of this sport?

The truth is that yes, hahaha. Many times I am playing and at the same time singing inside. I can't control it, it only comes out since I was little.

What is the family support in your sports career?

Family support is 100%. My father is the fundamental pillar of my sporting life, he has taught me the importance of sport in life.

What message would you like to convey to the fans?

I am very grateful to the Vibor-A firm for the trust they place in me every year. They support me, give me their confidence and do not pressure me at any time. Belén Montes is a ten as a person and Cristina Pérez the same, they are incredible. I hope that in a short time you will feel proud of the player and person that you are making possible.
